During my stay at Mbizi Bush Lodge, I was genuinely impressed by the exceptional quality of service and the overall experience. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this was no ordinary lodge; it felt like a home away from home, where the staff welcomed me as if I were a part of their family.The service at Mbizi Bush Lodge was truly five stars. Our time at Mbizi Bush Lodge was so special! Bjorn, Divya and their precious boys are the sweetest family and the best hosts. Our family of four had the unique experience of being their only guests when we were there. The property is beautiful; the game drives are fun (even when you do not see any cats or rhinos);  the incredible meals by Divya are something special; their oldest son will even let you borrow Scrabble when the weather is windy and cloudy. The welcoming vibe of this property makes us so thankful that we chose this place. 

Sadly, we missed the elephants drinking from the pool! We were at Kruger one day when they came, and we were in our rooms one day. Bjorn was kind to come get us, but they were done drinking and were leaving the property. It was still great to see them walk right thru the middle of the property. 

If you are looking for a quiet place to enjoy the African bush with kind hosts, a scenic property, delicious meals, and the most wonderful experience, this is your place! Thank y’all for making my daughter’s 15th birthday trip so memorable!

LOVED our stay!

We spent 4 days in this camp with unfenced lodge. The rooms had AC which was needed, even though outside was cold. Nice room, shower, safe and a decent pool with elephant visiting daily to drink. That was the highlight. Game drives started at 4:30 for 2 1./2 hours which was really late since it got dark at 5:15 so most of it was in the dark and we started skipping the afternoon drives for that reason. Nothing much is seen after dark in my opinion but some like it. Winter schedules should go to 3:30 like at the other lodges but they did not switch over yet at the end of May. We took a full day trip to Kruger. Other rave about it but we found it lacking. It was 14 hours long with little sightings & lots of driving. Not many other cars either, and other than elephants & buffalo, we found nothing more than at the lodge which would have been a lot easier. But maybe it was an off day since others highly recommend the trip. Food was nice, we were hoping for Indian dishes as shown in the photos but we instead had fusions of different countries. It was sometimes good but sometimes not to our liking. Beet pie, not for us for example. esspresson/cappuccino machine available anytime was nice. The highlight was elephants visiting the pool or running through the camp several times daily! It was amazing & you got very close the animals. Price was also a lot lower & lunch & drives were not included but extra. So if you wanted to skip lunch or a game drive you didnt pay. But they were both really low priced. So the stay was very nice & we would go again. Love the elephant visits to the pool & watering hole & around our rooms in the morning close by. Drives were decent but not a real high animal density in the area, but we did see lion & lots of elephant.

Where to even begin. We had the best few days at Mbizi. Bjorn and family were so welcoming, accommodating and knowledgeable. The accommodation is beautifully finished, the food is honestly amazing, the pool and the view are both great for some downtime. The game drives were great, we saw so many animals including a leopard and the off roading style was so fun.
The value for money at this place is honestly exceptional - would 100% recommend to everyone and will definitely be back! Thanks for a great and relaxing stay guys!

The best trip ever

Our day's at Mbizi bush lodge where the best we had ever experienced. The staff was great, lodge amazing and the food was more than perfect with great wine's! We couldn't have asked for anything else. Already feeling homesick to this place. Hopefully we will return some day. We made some beautiful memories! Thankyou Bjorn & Divya, you are lovely. Wauw!

The most amazing place imaginable in Kruger. We saw pictures before we arrived at the lodge, but when we arrive we realize how beautiful the place is, connected to nature, not fenced (which adds to the feeling of excitement and danger, but the owners of the place were very careful and made us feel safe the whole time). 

The design of the lodge is tasteful, in the spirit of Africa, elegant and calm. The nature around is simply breathtaking, and the most amazing thing is that animals come all the way to the lodge pool to drink water. Elephants, giraffes, zebras and more arrived. It's a magical moment when it happens, I hope for you that you will have such an opportunity because it depends on the animals and not the owner. 
The owner of the lodge cooks incredible food, every day and every meal the dishes change and they are at the level of a gourmet restaurant. 
I have no words to describe how special the experience was, I'm so glad we chose to stay at this place, and I wish we had more time (I recommend booking a minimum of 3 nights). 

There is an option to go for a game drive with the owner to watch the animals around, we did this twice and got to see lions, elephants, giraffes and quite a few other animals, highly recommended, he can tell you a lot about the surrounding.

Most incredible place in Kruger

We have just come back from a 4 night stay at Mbizi. We had a fantastic time with Bjorn and family. Bjorn took us out on 4 game drives and on every one we saw something epic - sleeping male lions, leopard in a tree, female lions, elephants, giraffes etc. We also did a day in the Kruger. The food was delicious with an Indian influence; cooked by Bjorns wife and other staff. The cottage was clean, in good condition, with air conditioning. The lodge is in a beautifully remote area, with only 8 guest in all, so is pretty quiet/peaceful surroundings. We loved the pool also which was cool and refreshing from the heat outside. Thank you again.

The time we were able to spend in Mbizi Lodge was just insane. Bjorn and Divya are such great people and excellent hosts. The morning and evening drives with Bjorn are unforgettable moments. We learned so much about the animals and about South Africa.The food was the best we had at our whole South Africa trip.An absolute recommendation!

Hello, 

I visited this bush lodge (more like home) for only 1 night stay with my husband. We had the best experience staying in this beautiful lodge. As soon as we arrived here, we were very warmly welcomed. We were given a tour of the lodge by Jerry. Then we made way to our beautiful cottage nearby. 

We had a relaxing time as well as adventurous game drives along with Jerry and Ian. 

A Special mention to the Food which was cooked here. We would visit this place only for food again and again. 

A special shout-out to Ian for taking such personal interest and passion in our game drives and also enriching us with his extensive knowledge and many bush stories :). 

Last but not the least, a shout out to Divya and her wonderful family for having us there and making our stay so comfortable with interesting conversations and some delicious food. Also a special thanks to Divya's Mom who made us home cooked combination of north indian and south indian food. 

We are definitely coming back again!

An Amazing Bush Lodge Stay with the most wonderful family!

Mbiz: 

Stayed here for three nights during our time in Kruger and absolutely loved every minute of it!! The pool area was fabulous and clean and the rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated and comfortable. The food was all home cooked and some of the best food I have ever had, Divya and the team are amazing cooks! We went on safaris each day with Bjorn and he was very kind, friendly and extremely knowledgeable! This place honestly made our time in Kruger a once in a lifetime experience and will remain a very special place in my heart! Please stay here if you are thinking of visiting Kruger, it was amazing and cannot say a bad word about it!
