Once again on our 14th trip to S.A. we stayed with Jane, Anna, Irene and Caroline at Melville Manor.  It is like coming home, everything is lovely especially the upgraded rooms. Thank you so much for looking after us and hopefully when the world has got over this terrible virus we will be able to return next year.

For 10 years we stay in Melville Manor, Each stay is a marvellous time .Everything is done for each of us: For breakfast they cooked what you choose.. We travel for an NGO and recommand to choose this place.

a quiet and warm place

I absolutely love the bed and breakfast vibe, and Melville Manor is somewhere I would recommend to anyone passing through Joburg. The staff were so friendly, the b&b was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. I looked forward to it every morning! Support these ladies if you’re ever in the area

Awesome place to stay

Very lovely accommodation with good breakfasts and calm and charming atmosphere, beautiful garden, nice pool area. The house is situated very close to all the restaurants and bars, sometimes it can be a bit too noisy at night, but good enough.

Always feel at home

Fantastic place to stay in Jozi, very urban and relaxed but also fairly safe neighbourhood! The staff ist lovely! They are very helpful in providing any information you need! The rooms are absolutely clean, quiet and charming!

Nothing to complain at all

This guesthouse offers a welcoming and restful stay in the middle of Melville’s hubbub. Comfortable accommodation, warm and welcoming staff and freshly cooked breakfast! Traveling on my own, I felt very safe in this guesthouse and wo7ld gladly have spent more time there.

Melville gem

I so enjoyed the hospitality provided by Jane, Anna and staff at Melville Manor. Room was comfortable, super clean and a few steps from a lively street of great restaurants and cute shops. Super secure, with homemade breakfast and even a nice pool for warm days. I’d go back in a minute!

Sweet guest house in great, walkable neighborhood.

Such a lovely place; I chose it because I warmed to the property and thought how lovely when looking on Booking.com. MMH lived up to my expectations and beyond since there isn't an adequate way to describe the loveliness of Jane ( with whom I corresponded by email) and Anna and team.
I was ill on arriving, having brought a bug from the UK and Anna was very caring, directed me to the pharmacy nearby, suggested I pick lemons off the tree in the garden...  The place is spotlessly clean and restaurants 1 min away.

Absolutely charming

We loved staying at Melville Manor. Beautiful home and garden in a lovely location, close to great shops and restaurants. There was no electricity on the afternoon in which we stayed and therefore no internet and the pool wasn't really usable but everything else was great.

Lovely, comfortable property in a great location.

Everything was nice except the upkeep of the plunge pool and the fact that the kitchen was out of bounds. Since it is not safe, especially for women, to walk around in Joburg at night, I would have liked to be able to cook a simple dinner on the premises. The color pattern in greys and greens was soothing and I liked the high ceilings.
