I attended a childhood friend's wedding last August and it was the most amazing place in the middle of the woods, not far from the country's second largest City, Kosice (30-min drive). 

The ceremony and Champagne reception was on the lawn outside and the post-ceremony meal on the terrace upstairs. The venue was decorated beautifully - there were around 8-10 round tables and a couple of long tables (2 sprigs). 

The food served was quite tradtional, but good quality, we also had a late buffet served for the whole duration of the disco, which was also very traditional, good quality and lots and lots of choice! 

I am not allowed to share any pictures I am afraid, but being a senior hospitality professional, I can confidently say that Lesanka and its private hire facilities are simply amazing and if you are after a fairy tale wedding, this is the best place to make your dream come true!

Attended a wedding

I have been here many times and will come back again. It is only around 30 km from Kosice and literally few meters from Ruzin lake. Building of the hotel was reconstructed and refurbished few years ago and I think that Kosice only benefited from it. This is a 3 star hotel but I have been in 4 star hotels that can only dream of such a level. Rooms; and I have slept in double bedroom room, small and large apartment; are all brilliantly furnished and decorated. Sure, double bedroom could be bigger but I still find it ok especially for a 3 star hotel. 
Restaurant is similarly good, breakfast (included in price of any room) is rather average but overall it is definitely appropriate for this hotel. I have never had any complain about the food served here. Some friends of mine had minor issues with portion size but it has improved - what I have noticed too. 
Service is ok - no issues whatsoever for both restaurant and hotel.
SPA is worth mentioning in this review. I know people who visit it regularly during weekends as they do not find better quality and value in Kosice and I too find it really good. It is located in a separate building (around 50 meters from the hotel) but that does not spoil anything. Imagine running from the SPA to the hotel wrapped only in a towel in December. There is a swimming pool (around 15-20 meters) and if you are here because of swimming then you should be ok. They offer  few saunas here and I really find them the best thing here. And if I spoke about running in cold then you should try their outdoor whirlpool in December. It is really worth to pay extra and try the SPA. Right next to the SPA (in the same building) is a gym which is a typical hotel gym - nothing special but sufficient. And still within the same building - bowling with a bar right next to it - worth a try as you leave the SPA.
I still have not mentioned that the hotel is basically built in nature and surrounded by forests. If you are a fan of nature and especially hiking then this hotel could be your base camp for such an activity. I have to mention a trail to Sivec which almost anyone is able to do and the view from the peak of Sivec is stunning. 

Really recommended to visit.

Enjoyable place

Beeing there on multiple occasions for business, it is just a piece of heaven 20 minutes by car away from Kosice (the road is already an adventure). The rooms are clean, so is the dining and meeting rooms. The wellness part is not so big, but the pool is excellent and the jacuzzi outside is a gift from heaven after you spend a whole day working.

Your favorite spot near Košice

I spent two days in Lesanka at the end of August. The hotel is less than 30 minutes drive from the city of Kosice. Already the drive from Kosice through the surrounding forests is beautiful. The hotel is in a quiet location near forests and lake Ruzin. It is perfectly placed for walking in the nearby hills. The weather was warm and sunny so we spent some time by the lake which is only a 5 minute walk from the hotel. On the second day of our stay it was raining so we used the hotel spa which was very nice and not crowded as they only allow 10 people at the same time. Overall, the hotel has a very relaxing feel about it, our room on the second floor had lovely views of the hills. I especially liked the simple decor which goes well with the surrounding nature. The place is perfect if you are just looking for some quiet time away from the city life. The area is beautiful and undiscovered, with not many tourists, only people from Kosice know about this place. 

Relaxing place surrounded by beautiful nature

I stayed at this hotel for two nights together with the most of my family as we attended my cousin's wedding there. The hotel was clean, nicely and newly furbished, the Wi-fi was one of the best ones I have tried at any hotels, the location is very nice for both a relaxing and active holiday in nature. The breakfast buffet only missed some fresh fruit to be almost perfect, everything we tried in the restaurant was great. We didn't have too much time to try all the wellness and sport activities, but it all looked new. The gym and the massage can be recommended. The most suprising fact of the stay for me was how nice, helpful and friendly all the employees were. We were mostly met with nice greetings and smiles, no matter what time of the day, or how tired the staff was.
