A short and pleasant 15 minute walk into the old town of Banska Bystrica. No air conditioning but a powerful fan in the room. Nice breakfast. Only slight negative was the towel was a bit inadequate and had to do for both hand and body.

Pleasant pension

Nice place. The location was good to the centrum and the stadium. Didn’t notice the noise from the highway although we hade the windows to the highway. Good service.

Nice room and courteous staff. There is a dedicated parking lot. However, above the property is a major Highway with constant traffic. With windows open the room is very noisy. Otherwise satisfied.

Room was spacious and kept clean as well as bathroom and toilets. Towels are changed everyday [but I requested not to do so for mine for ecological purposes]. There is a good parking area in front of the hotel. Wifi was free and of excellent quality. There was no noise  at 18:00 till 7:00 next day. Everyone was respectful of the other's private space and no noise policy inside the hotel. Breakfast is good with  limited variety. However, it is optional. Supermarkets are close to the hotel and one can also pick up processed foodstuff if one is not satisfied with what is proposed. Hotel is close to a beautiful park. Just follow it diagonally and one reaches the town centre in 5 to 10 minutes [depending on how quickly one walks]. There are also other pathways and lanes should one wish to change walking or jogging  track everyday. I spoke to staff in English and I had the opportunity to try my beginner's German while talking to Ellena at breakfast. Her smile and kindness make one's day !

Good price , good room, efficient staff

we were here to watch the U19 England in Banksta, place was exactly what we was looking for, close the mountains for walking and close to the main town for dining, staff pleasant and for 5 euros breakfast was well worth it.

Good hotel, reasonable pricing, highly recommended.

Good hotel

The main reason why I give up to 4 stars is the friendliness of the owner and the effort to meet every requirement.  However, the huge disadvantages for me were the very noisy rooms combined with the creaking of the doors around where every single arrival or departure of another guest woke me up.  Moreover, there is a small threshold on the door and light went through it into the room all the night from the corridor. Maybe it's negligible for someone, for me it was quite important for good sleep. The floor was very cold and I was cold all night because the outside temperature was 5C and the room was not yet heated. I would also enjoy the presence of cosmetic wipes in the room or a shampoo that is not foamed which unfortunately was not. Otherwise perfect location close to city center with free parking.

Excellent staff but too noisy rooms

Great location for an overnight stay. Just off the motorway and easy to park. Staff very helpful and friendly. They directed us to the old town where we had a nice meal. Even provided a map.The room was nice and clean. Very quiet. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Great value for money. Thank you.
