Leone Lodge Freetown

I cannot recommend Leone Lodge highly enough! I have never stayed in a hotel with such a high standard of customer service. All members of staff, from those on reception to those in the office to those running the bar and restaurant, were incredibly friendly and willing to go out of their way to accommodate us. The hotel itself is easy enough to get to from the airport (once you get through the frenzy of the airport and the subsequent boat trip!) and the location is great. Lumley Beach is pretty and a nice place to go for a walk along. The bedrooms my colleagues and I stayed in were well equipped with comfortable beds, effective AC, power, hot water, fridges and TVs. There is a hotel restaurant with a good varied menu and all the meals we ate were tasty. If you don’t fancy spending time in your room, the downstairs lobby/foyer area is spacious and a nice place to relax. The purpose of our stay at Leone Lodge was to run a regional workshop for 20 participants who had traveled to Sierra Leone from all over West Africa. The hotel could easily accommodate all participants in comfortable, clean rooms for the duration. The conference facilities were fantastic and professional, providing the perfect setting for our workshop. Catering was served on time and the traditional Sierra Leonean dishes were delicious. Overall, the event ran very smoothly, all thanks to team at Leone Lodge.
