Paradise Flycatcher's Lodge

Despite all the bad reviews of accommodations in La Digue is hard to find a place without criticism. However, we need a place to stay for a couple of nights on the island. Through booking.com we decided to take Paradise Fly Cather's as it's close to a beautiful beach Anse Source d'Argent. Paradise Fly Catcher's Self Catering Bungalow was okay. We got the bungalow number 1! A bungalow for three people with one super king size and a single beds. The room has a kettle, refrigerator, television, wifi, air condition, ceiling fan, dresser with mirror, wardrobe with plenty of hangers. The free wifi was okay, although the connection sometimes has gone but generally happen everywhere in Seychelles. We can't complain much about it. Sometimes goes fast and suddenly slow, needs patience. However, the bathroom smells urine but spacious. No hot water and shower curtain so splash on the floor if you showered. Nice veranda. The only bungalow with a drying rack. If you can request the bungalow number 1 this worth the price, we book this place six months in advance or probably as a genius member of booking.com we got the big and decent bungalow. As a self-catering, you have access from the room to the kitchen. Super big kitchen shared for two bungalows. Check the utensils before use because they are greasy. Breakfast included in the price, but don't expect so much about the food. We only went once, as we have a kitchen we prepare our food in the morning. There is a big supermarket on the island where you find most things you need. The lady owner Ethel is super friendly! We arrived early, and the bungalow wasn't ready yet, we can leave our bags at the reception. And she also arranges bikes for us for 100 rupees per day cheaper than those rental offices in La Digue. The location of Fly Catchers: is silly for us; we walk with hand luggage from the jetty, which is 1.7 kilometer — going back to the pier we took a taxi for 150 rupees arrange by the owner. Be aware! There is three access in the entire place. Coming from the harbor take the third entrance, which brings you directly to the reception office. And some of the bungalows situated far from the roadside. I've been inside one of the bungalows by coincidence because I need to use the bathroom on the day of arrival, as they don't have a toilet inside the reception office. They sent me to one of the bungalows. It surprises me how awful it is inside in the other cottages! Cramp bedroom, and broken toilet bowl. We were so lucky to have the best bungalows in the entire place! I have nothing much to say. We pay 90 euro per night, and very satisfied with what we got for the price! Great location, and close to everything!
