My husband and I recently visited Dakar for the first time and stayed at the Terrou-Bi Hotel. Our experience was truly exceptional, from the warm welcome we received to the impeccable service throughout our stay. The hotel's central location made it easy for us to explore the city, but the real highlight was the private beach. It provided a serene oasis where we could relax and connect with nature, whether swimming in the ocean, meditating by the shore, or simply enjoying the stunning views from our balcony. Our room was beautifully appointed and incredibly comfortable, with plush beds and soft towels. The breakfast buffet was a lavish spread with a wide variety of options to suit all tastes. We were particularly impressed by the attentive staff, who remembered our preferences and ensured that every detail was taken care of. Speaking of the staff, they were the heart and soul of our experience. Every interaction was warm and genuine, from the cheerful security team and porters to the helpful reception staff. We would like to extend a special thanks to Jean Baptiste 'The Professor,' Rolande, Jessica, and Wilane, who went above and beyond to provide us with fantastic recommendations and ensure that our stay was unforgettable. One of the most memorable moments of our trip was my husband's birthday. The breakfast team surprised us with a song and a delicious cheesecake, and later in the day, we received a beautiful tray of fresh fruits and a luxurious chocolate cake. Having celebrated birthdays in hotels around the world for over 20 years, we can confidently say that Terrou-Bi stands out for making guests feel truly special. One last tip: Don’t miss the buffet dinner at La Terrasse restaurant! The grilled dishes are succulent and flavorful, but be sure to make a reservation to avoid long wait times.
