Could have been better.... For a 4* hotel. Ideed, comparing with what is around, it looks a bit... luxury.
- food is nice, but the staff completely lack etiquette and manners
- rooms are clean, but everything is degraded, furniture is old and not cared for. 
- bathrooms have a terrible smell of sewage and are full of sand in the drainage
- balconies are full of spider webs, nobody goes there to clean them off
- mosquito nets are brocken, they are there for nothing
- you expect that the remote control for the tv and A/C will work, but not

So they don`t care so much as long as people still come and they have customers



Mediocrity

We went there for 5 days, breakfast included, and arrived late evening, around 21.00.
The room located at the first floor was smelling heavy at fish because the windows were open, the restaurant's kitchen barbeque is not having a proper exhaust system and all the smell goes on in building B.  The room was nice, my kid was happy to sleep on a reasonable bed, the balcony has two chairs and a clothes drying area. The balcony door does not have an insect's net and a blind, so during the night, there was a lot of light inside the room. The windows' phonic isolation is very poor, so with all windows closed, we could hear all conversations from the kitchen.  The buffet breakfast was very good and different from a day to another, not necessarily in a good way. The service is very poor. The senior manager acts as a client and disturbs the clients waiting to get the food. The COVID 19 measures are the best I have ever seen in a Romanian restaurant. This is not going to compensate for the other poor aspects.

Could be the best hotel in Neptun

Hotel Insula on Neptun it s a hotel by the lake .
Nice rooms,new,flowers,birds,nature ,see...what do you want more?
Beautiful place with terasse by the lake.
Very friendly but i don t recommanded family with children young.
It s more a couple hotel.

Vacantion

I stayed here for one night. The hotel is located by the lake, it has a good restaurant, it takes about 10 minutes to get to the sea. The room I stayed in was large, was clean but unfortunately there is no blackout curtain and I woke up at 6.30 in the morning when the sun was up.

I left the hotel earlier and was forced to pay the entire stay.
Prices at restaurant excessively high. You are told that you receive a 15% discount, but without effect. You receive for a fee the so-called meal tickets, and at the departure you do not return the money for the unused tickets.
Lots of noise: -The chamber does not provide sound insulation. The conversation is heard from the hall and from other rooms. - In the room there is noise from an external installation. - The engine from the bathtub is very noisy. - The bathroom has glass on the hall and you can hear everything from the bathroom and from the hall.

An anti-client policy.

We had lunch and dinner at this restaurant for couple of days and I could say it was the beat food we had for the money in Neptun. Compliments to the chef. You must go and tru. Everything was tasty: bors, saramura, plachia and for deserts papanasi. 

The best food ever

Neptun used to be fashionable some years ago. Right now it is a ruin! Insula managed to keep the standards high. Insula is a four stars hotel where you feel home. Large rooms with balcony on the Lake Neptun where you can smoke or have a wine with your family or friends. Apartments are marvelous, one large living and one normal bedroom. For a four stars hotel, there is no need for the cooking machine in the apartments. It might be useful for a family with kids, but I do not see it in this kind of hotel. People are friendly and they take care of you. I cut one point of 5 just because the piping that is leaking from time to time. The new building is not finished yet but it seems to copy the old one and keep the standards high.

An oasis of normality

The food here was always good, but over the years, I feel the service has gotten slower and poorer and the prices have gone really high for smaller portions. 
This time the pasta was very salty too, same as the soup. The wine price in the menu was 25 lei cheaper  than on bill...

Restaurant review

We are third time in Insula Hotel and still pleasantly impressed by the hotel's cleanliness. The rooms are very big with beautifull sea view and the staff very friendly and ready to help at any time. It is one of the best places on the Romanian seaside. 

Nice place to stay 

No doubt the best place to stay in Neptune. The hotel is right on the lake with very nice groomed plants surrounding it. The balconies are very private and romantic with all the green surrounding it. Definitely go for a duplex room where you have plenty of space and two balconies. Breakfast is quite good and can be had outside on the pontoon terrace.
