We had an amazing time in Vieques and staying at the Malecon House! The rooms, amenities and location were great, and it was great that Malecon House had free beach and snorkeling supplies available for us to use. Everyone at Malecon House was so friendly and helpful in guiding us to beaches and restaurants and other activities, and were so friendly to our daughter, she loved chatting with them about snorkeling and sea life. We also appreciated their flexibility when our return flight got cancelled and rescheduled to an earlier day due to a tropical storm. Everyone made us feel so welcome at Malecon House and our only regret is that we couldn’t spend more time there, we certainly hope to come back again!

Malecon House offered a serene escape from San Juan's lively pace. The atmosphere was soothing and inviting. Dafney and Portia provided valuable assistance with excursions, dining options, and beach suggestions. The boutique hotel was thoughtfully arranged, featuring comfortable amenities such as beach chairs, coolers stocked with ice, and readily available boogie boards for beach outings. Its prime location allowed easy strolls to local restaurants and bars, while bio bay tours conveniently departed from the nearby end of the street. I highly recommend Malecon House for anyone visiting Vieques.

Tranquil Oasis in Vieques with Excellent Service and Amenities

Wonderful stay. Thank you to Dafney, Porchia, Carmen and the entire staff for such a nice stay!  Lovely lodging and great amenities on site such as ice buckets, Sun Umbrella, and Beach chair to take to the beach. Easy walk to restaurants in town.  Don't hesitate...stay here when in Vieques!

Wonderful!

Our first trip to Puerto Rico, and Malecon House was the perfect spot! We spent 4 nights here, and only wish we had stayed longer!

We arrived after hours, and Dafney sent easy check-in instructions via text and email, so our arrival was seamless. The next morning, Portia gave us a thorough tour of the property; we felt immediately welcomed and at home. The entire team was friendly, accommodating, helpful, and really enhanced our stay.

Our room was on the back side of the property (room 9), and our large balcony felt secluded and private, overlooking the banana trees in the garden. The grounds are impeccably maintained, with a lovely pool and plenty of areas to sit and relax.

Continental breakfast was a great way to start every morning with pastries, fruit, and coffee next to the pool or brought back up to enjoy on our balcony. They also have an honor bar with sodas, beers, and snacks!

Beach chairs, umbrellas, and coolers are provided, so we packed up our rental jeep each day to head to a different (stunning!) beach. Coming back to Malecon House after a long day at the beach was like an oasis - the room was comfortable, clean, cool, and we had everything we needed.

The location is perfect - waterfront in the wonderful little town of Esperanza. There are 6 or 8 restaurants within a few minutes walk along the waterfront. There is a small market nearby to stock up on snacks and drinks for a day at the beach.

Malecon House is a Perfect Oasis!

We loved our stay at Malecón House! Everyone was so friendly & helpful and made our stay memorable. Porsche gave us a nice tour of the facilities on our arrival.  We stayed in the King Suite which has a big balcony that looks out to the ocean. You are sure to see some wild horses walking by! 
The pool is very clean & felt great on those hot days! They have everything you need for your beach outings, towels, chairs, ice chest. Such a nice feature! The continental breakfast is small, which was fine with us since we are not big breakfast people but the coffee was great! Restaurants close by to walk to. AC works great too! 
We hope to make it back again one day and will be sure to stay at Malecon House!

Wonderful stay!

We stayed for four nights in the Ocean View deluxe King, a spacious room with a balcony with an unobstructed view of the ocean. Our friends stayed in the deluxe King suite, which also has a lovely balcony with a partial view of ocean, plus a separate sleeping area. We've already picked a week to come back.  Vieques, and the Malecon House, are that wonderful. It was an amazing home away from home to come back to. A splurge for sure, and you should read about what is and is not offered (not a full breakfast for example although the coffee was very good) The vibe is mellow and things quiet down by 9, so no parties all night by the pool! Beds, AC, & showers were great. Daphne and other staff were so friendly and helpful. Only downside was the water temp in our friends' room, but we are all still coming back so make of that what you will!

We are coming back

Beautiful hotel right on main strip of restaurants and water. Room was clean and nicely decorated with very comfy bed. Stayed one night after touring the bio bay. Hostess was great and they had everything we needed- even beach towels to use. Small complimentary breakfast in the morning

Cozy spa like retreat

This is our second time at Malecon House. This time I brought my Mom, Sisters and friends for an 80th Bday celebration. From the moment we arrived at Malecon House we were treated with an exceptional level of customer service. Edward greeted us like friends, showed us around the property, and met all of our needs with good humor and excellent customer service. The hotel has all the chairs, umberellas, and coolers to make for the perfect beach day in the pristine national park beaches. Edward’s high degree of customer service set the tone for the rest of our stay with Daphne who worked on his days off and was also friendly, kind, and helpful. We will miss you Malecon House!

Great Visit!

Wonderful place! Our room was clean and very comfortable, I swam laps in the beautiful pool, front desk/onsite manager was a wonderful source of information, restaurants are close in walking distance, all around a super relaxing place!

Relax and enjoy the beauty!

From the time we pulled up in the golf cart, until we left, it felt like we were visiting a close friend rather than staying at a hotel. Dafney was welcoming and friendly, and made sure that our stay was a great one. Our room was a good size, comfortable, and very clean. The hotel itself was lovely. Breakfast was  simple but good and the pool, although not huge, was perfect for cooling off. The location was great- close to everything we needed, including the meeting point for the Bio Bay tour. I would highly recommend Malecon House and hope to be able to stay again soon!
