I was in this aldiento which is a perfect place to spend a vacation with saltwater,hot freshwater and children's pools, places for children to play, tennis court, best of all a wonderful beach. The animals are welcome. Very friendly employees (all of them, whether receptionists or workers).

Perfect

Hands down one of the nicest resorts we have stayed in. The apartment was clean with fresh towels and complimentary shampoos on each bed. Plenty of space to cook in the kitchen. We stayed in 59a and it was perfectly positioned. Right  by the pool  5 mins from the small beach. 10 mins to the bigger beach. We booked here as my brother was getting married and the church was 5 mins away. Right beside lords bar and a lovely restaurant (can’t remember the name ) food was great staff were lovely. Only down was it’s bit of a trek to a shop. I’d suggest putting small convenience store in where the second restaurant used to be. There’s a small market shop about 15 min walk away up a hill , which is fine but in the heat feels like 22 miles!! Could definitely benefit putting a shop on the resort. But a small inconvenience that would not stop me returning.

My brothers wedding

Just spent a week on this development to attend a friends wedding. Our first trip to the Algarve. We stayed at Vila Marine on booking.com. We had a first floor, one bedroom apartment. Everything about the apartment was first class and we had a most comfortable stay. Spotless, comfortable beds , great aircon and a partial sea view from one of 2 balconies. 

The development itself is quite large and a little bit away from the restaurants (5-10 mins walk) but that meant is was very quiet. Pools are salt water (very mild) and not heated. As the average temp was 30c+ this was quite pleasant. Sunbeds tended to get filled by about 10am so I'm afraid we joined the crowd and went and blagged them on a morning. 

There were 2 restaurants on site but one is now closed leaving Aquaresto. Its a pleasant place and staff are friendly. Lunch/coffees etc. are not too pricey but dinner and wine is (100 Euros+ for 2) so we only ate dinner there once. I'd have to recommend Palmeiras bar and grill near the Pestana Viking hotel. Food great and half the price of the on site restaurant.  

Beach is very close but there are very steep steps. You need beach brollies too as there is no shade at all. Pleasant at sunset though. We didn't have a car so nearest decent shop was 15 mins walk. Taxi would have been a good idea but we toughed it out in the heat. 

We'd go back but feel there is a lot more of the Algarve we need to see first. 

P.S. Used Yellowfish transfers (about 100 Euros) who were superb.  

A very pleasant introduction to the Algarve

Heated pool does not exist so don’t book on that premise we was told it was broken that was 5 weeks ago here we are still here and still ice cold. Restaurant is overpriced and average food. Reception don’t care at all. We had 2 power cuts first one took 4 hours to fix. Gutted about the heated pool as that’s why we chose this place. Being lied to leaves a very bad taste no mini golf either so false advertising on 2 counts

came back from a weeks stay.4 adults 3 children. Absolutely enjoyed every min of it.
The area is so peaceful.we stayed in a villa and parents stayed in an apartment both lovely clean and spacious.both had lovely verandas to sit out 
on the mornings and evening to.
 4 swimming pool one indoor and little one for children and 2 bigger ones with views over the sea.
We were out of season so onsite shop was shut was about a mile walk to the main super marche but a lovely walk  if not able to walk far reception were fab at phoning a taxi.our driver was called Mario and a fab driver he was nothing was impossible he took us wherever we needed to go.

The restaurant was shut as they are doing everything up on site so be worth a another visit.the restaurant over looks the swimming pool and sea now.
Gate down to the beach and what a beautiful beach it was to.we took picnic down with us because there quite a few steps down and back up qnd my father can't do them very quick so was nice to rest.
The Chapel is beautiful just outside the site to and some lovely restaurants in walking distance to eat out at.
All in all we def we will be back when up and running. Obrigada!

Beautiful quiet place

A great beach, sheltered and not totally covered at high tide, lovely waves to jump but bit too strong for swimming. It was December!  We were surprised it was warm enough to be in swimming costumes! We went to a few other beaches but this was our favourite.
