This is a perfectly acceptable place to stay in Huacachina, has an outdoor area for eating and drinking. The rooms are basic and fine, clean. Light switch hanging off the wall but still worked. Breakfast is nice. Service is a bit slow and there isn't much atmosphere but does the job.

Fine place to stay Huacachina 

I shouldn't complain much for a USD $42/night stay in Huacachina, but I was able to find other hotels for a similar price that offered a good night sleep. I was on the 2nd floor overseeing the courtyard where meals are served, but I found the noise level to be a bit loud. I also got a cold the next morning after the temperatures really dropped a night. I wish the hotel had warmer blankets, so be sure to bring a sweater. I will say the shower worked perfectly and it was great taking a warm shower in the morning. The hotel has potential but I would probably look for other accommodations elsewhere.

Cool Hotel Name - but that's about it

I am sorry to report this but I became very ill a few hours after eating. I haven't been this sick in years... I spent 3 days in bed and couldn't enjoy the beautiful Peru. Unfortunately!!!  Hopefully you can look at the problem together and find a solution, as this is not the first review where food poisoning has been reported. The bar has potential. But please, be aware of the poisoning.

But we did eat here for breakfast and our evening meal every day we were in Huacachina! 
Great coffee, varied food menu and every meal that we had was lovely! Lots of veggie and vegan options and we weren't charged extra for soya milk 🙌...

Great for coffee and food!

The hostel is ok but has a huge downside. Ok breakfast, ok rooms, ok showers, ok beds.
But the management are with no doubt the cheapest people I have ever met. They Wanted to charge as for ice, for 10 disposable glasses (we were 10 gusts) and for extra milk for our coffee.
When traveling on a budget u are willing to deal with anything other then bad vibes.

Ok place. Not okay vibes.

I stayed at Casa Bamboo because my original reservation at another location was "lost" (I was very happy about this when I saw how noisy the place I was supposed to have was despite asking my agent to book me in a quieter venue).   Bamboo was very accommodating and helpful.    I was able to get a clean, standard single room with private bath (yea!!) here.  It was a very simple room, but I did not need or want anything more.  I had one complaint about the room which the staff remedied straight-away.   The noise from the cafe downstairs quieted down at around 10-11pm - by noise I mean people talking and some music but not party-loud.   The rest of the time it was quiet and I was able to sleep.  It is normal to have some noise from people talking in the cafe, but it is a cafe.. not a disco. Can you tell I was happy about this?  

I chatted with them for a while and they showed me a room (not in use) that they were in the middle of renovating. They are in the process of painting, changing some furnishings, etc.. in all their rooms, a few at a time.  It is nice to see that they are accommodating and working on improving their venu. they are making a terrace on the roof - it will be very nice once finished. I just saw the work in progress. I hope that they will keep it as a quieter venu. (it looks that way , but I would ask when you book just in case)   Once they finish all their reno's pri they will surely move up to a 4 from a 3 in my view.   

I would consider going back if I visit Huacachina again.  I think staff speaks English.. but since I am fluent in Spanish I didn't care to find out!  :)

Good, economical stay & Quieter hostel

Good stay in this hotel located few minutes walking from the desert lake. Rooms with private toilets were basic but clean and fairly big. Soap, toilet paper and towel provided. Staff, friendly and welcoming, arranged for us all tours and deals. At the ground floor bar and restaurant open till late. Restaurant food was fair for the prices.
Only bad was about the noise. Because you stay in a oasis you expect calm and peace. In the early morning was instead quite noisy. 
Tip? If you want to pay with card you will be charged 5% more!

The hostel is located in the quiet part of huacachina so great if you're wanting to get a decent night sleep (which we did).

It's got a great little restaurant where the service is probably the fastest we've had since we started our travels around SA 5 weeks ago.

Would definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a decent night.

One thing to be aware of is only one guy seems to speak English, not an issue for us as I'm fluent but quite a few people seem to have an issue with this. Solution - learn some basic Spanish and don't expect everyone to just speak English. 

Nice non party hostel

I won't recommend this place. First I got an Email in advance forcing me to sent them money otherwise they couldn't reserve the room for me. This never happened to me before especially since I left my credit card information when booking the room over Hostel.com. When we arrived there was only one guy that could speak English. All the others don't even understand one word. When it comes to paying they took nearly 3€ more since they are using a made up change rate from some change office in town and NOT the real change rate. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom and what was even worse: there was no door opener inside the bathroom. So I was looked inside and hat to shout for my boyfriend to open it from the outside. It smelled really worse like toilet in the bedroom although we kept the bathroom door looked all the time. Nowhere in Peru we payed as much as here but it was the worst Hostel we had in 4 weeks. Dirty ans broken. Really not worth the money and notice that there is now breakfast included. We wanted to have the peruian breakfast but that was out so we ended with the boring American one. I still gave them 2 Stars since the Cocktails where nice and at least one Person (the one that was able to speak english) tried to fix all the problems in the room. Still I would definitely not recommended that place.

Horrible

We needed a break from party hostels and booked a night here for a quieter nights sleep. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the rooftop terrace has a great view of the dunes. The staff are all really nice and accommodating and made our stay very welcome. The best part about this hostel is their food, it’s by far the best Huacachina has to offer. Would recommend.
