Bad place! We killed more than a dozen of lices that were falling out of the thatched roof into our bed. And than we immediately decided to move to a clean hotel nearby. Rest of the room was also dirty and worn-out. Hardly any waterpressure. Host hardly understood English. We booked it by booking.com but it is a hotel from agoda. This means that you have to pay in advance and that you can't leave a review at booking.com.So, this was a nightmare.

Economical and comfortable. On our way from Dubai to Salalah, we took a break at Nizwa and we chose Noor Majan Camp because of the budget rates. We checked in at midnight and as we drove into the camp, it looked deserted. But despite the late hours, there was an attendant who rushed to help us check in and be comfortable. The rooms are separate log cabins inside a walled compound. The cabins were comfortable with all the basic necessities provided - slippers, toiletries, clean sheets.
There was ample space and wash room was clean. We asked for early breakfast. Breakfast options were very limited and basic. But the fruits were amazing. The staff was very helpful, never in the way, but always willing to help us. 

Wifi is good and breakfast is included in the price. (200 AED for the night for us) You have a small fridge inside the room. Loved the ceiling of the room, reminded of old wooden houses in India. Outside there is a play area for kids. 
If you're looking to take a break during the long drive to salalah without hurting your pocket, Noor Majan Camp is a very good choice.

Good Camp Accommodation

When you are bored with busy city life , best place to visit in nizwa is Noor Majan camp.Econmoical , neat and ample space for kids playing.

The adjacent park is one the attraction . Kids will enjoy the time In park .

Noor Majan camp

Although not cheap for a budget place, it was cheaper than elsewhere in the Nizwa area.  And, being in the countryside, it was quiet.  Rooms are individual cabins, so the only noise I heard was when the car from the neighboring cabin came and went on the loose gravel.  The rooms are rather quaint.  The ceiling is made of bamboo and palm fronds, then sealed so that there are no bugs.  I was worried about WiFi with individual cabins, but it worked fine--much better than it did in another countryside place where I stayed the night before.  The mattresses are firm.  Each unit has its own hot water heater.  Outside the room is a private patio with a table covered with a cloth.  The staff were great.  When I didn't come in the right entrance, they walked out to me, told me where to enter, and then guided me with my car into the parking spot for my cabin.  When I told them I would have to miss breakfast because I had to leave for the airport by the time it started at 7:30, they said they would have it ready for me at 7:00.  For drivers:  It is now the SECOND round-about south of Hwy 15 where you turn left, and once you are headed southeast on the road, keep looking to the right until you see the camp.

Great Staff; Quiet Location at a Good Price

Nice cottages, with good space. Helpful staff. Good breakfast. A nice small playground area for the kids. 10-15 minutes drive from the Nizwa Fort/Souq. A good place to stay exploring the area. Not that easy to find, but just look on your right after taking a left in the second roundabout coming from Nizwa. Good value

Perfect if you have small children

This cottage, made entirely of palm fronds, has all the facilities and is a in a rural location but close to the main roads linking Nizwa and Salalah. We were unable to use the restaurant due to our early departure.

A change from a hotel

We stayed at Noor Majan on our way up to Muscat from Salalah. You might need a GPS to find it. But then it offers clean, spacious rooms, privacy and very friendly staff. As it was Ramadam, we got our generous breakfast delivered to our room, which was great. :)

perfect stay over for a budget hotel

We booked a twin family room/hut at the Noor Majan Camp as a stop off from Abu Dhabi to Muscat allowing us to visit the Nizwa Fort.

Arriving at just gone 8pm the only indication was a sign saying "do not enter due to park renovation" and an open gate but ignoring the sign and driving off road for a little bit we found another gate and a jolly guy in a reception area who showed us to our hut with a smile and a wave...

Two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two singles for the 5 of us would have worked fine but the guy at reception happily dropped off a mattress and some more sheets so we all had a bed for the night.

Clean and tidy, if a little dated but a cracking and fun place for a night or two but the beds are rock hard and the road noise is a little loud in the morning without the AC running but cold AC and hot showers and a plentiful breakfast delivered to the hut made the stay a memorable one for us all!

Already talking about going back with some other families for a group booking for a couple of nights next year... :-)

Quirky Place that's hard to find in the dark

My family and I came here after a long trip and were looking forward to getting some good rest.  We pulled up late, it was dark and given the location of the camp, appeared quite isolated as well.  When we entered our cabin that's when the real "Oh Dear" moment occurred.  Now I take full responsibility of not having read the reviews properly or seeing that indeed this is a camp and not a hotel but a few words of caution for other travelers.  I think travelers looking for a little bit of adventure will enjoy their stay as well as those who like the outdoors.  Being city-folk, we had our moments dealing with mosquitoes, flies and very large yellow wasp-like insects.  Apart from the bugs, the room was dingy, dimly lit and clearly needed a renovation or two.
