Secret gem, excellent food,most beautiful island. You can go on fishing trips with Kjartan and fish the fish you need for at least a year in these magic fishing locations. Lots of different birds outside Smøla Havstuer, this is one of the most amazing places in Norway I have been.

I have just spent 10 days in Havstuer and I loved it!
The place is mady by two large houses and a deck over a shallow fjord-like water.
The rooms are just fine, the bathrooms are more that adequate. The absolute winners are the surroundings, the view, the sunset, the (free use of) kajaks end the opportunity to join the Norwegian owner on a fishing or crabbing trip.
Eating at Havstuer is a treat. The Dutch hostess and the Dutch/Norwegian cook are very hospitable. Dinner is always a pleasant surprise, with understandably many variations on fish. No fancy nouveau cuisine, but good solid and very well prepared delicious meals. When weather allows (which is often) meals can be eaten outdoors or with large patio doors wide open. The wood fire heated hot tub on deck is a treat. Sit in there as long as you care to soak, just don't forget to get out for your meal or drinks.
All in all, a must-see for anyone who likes a peacefull place on a beautiful island!

A quiet retreat and a culinairy treat

Havkroa Smøla Veidholmen. If you want to experience a real Nort Mørsk fishing island then Veidholmen is the place. Havkrog gives you the best service when it comes to accommodation and deliciously smoked food. Here are men men and sheep are afraid. Highly recommended top service

The place itself is ok, not  but not the best location on Smola. However, as other guests have pointed out, the road is terrible, not even sure if your rental car insurance covers this kind of bumpy road, so be careful

Quiet and peaceful

The place is nice, at the sea, but the road is terrible. If you don't have a landrover or a jeep you riskl damage to  your car. To be safe, you better park your car at the main road and walk 1/2 mile to the cottage
