What a fascinating area! Gorgeous old buildings, interesting shops and markets, close to the harbour and park. A perfect place to dawdle, take photos or have a pub lunch. Picturesque town - so happy we stopped.

Stayed for 2 nights with my parents. We were made very welcome by Juls who couldn't do enough for us, whilst still giving us privacy. The house is intriguing with lots of interesting things to look at. Everywhere was immaculately clean and very comfortable, including the beds. We had a choice of sitting rooms and could come and go freely so it was very relaxing, like living with friends or family rather than a B&B. The breakfast was huge and we could choose our time. Really made our stay in Oamaru special, thank you so much!

Was well appointed property with quality fixtures and fittings.
Was warm with air con plus log fire.
Good location as close to CBD area.
Bathroom was in need of Reno which I understand is in hand.
 Better suited to a family or larger group as we felt as a couple a little lost in all the space older villas provide.
Would recommend to others

Surprising house and owner. Located up the hill but just 5 minutes walk to the heart of the village, the house is full of little jewels that the owner enjoys collecting obviously. Charming,  with a great view over the ocean while in your "private corner".
The decor is bit busy for my personal taste but at the end of the day the world has to be different otherwise it would be damn boring
