We had a good experience at Soeten Haert, no mayor issues.  The park was nice, lots of trees and green between the cottages.  The location was quiet, near the seaside at walking distance of max 15 min.  Same for the center of Renesse, it was a nice walk of 30-40 min.  The cottage itself was quite ok, it was not impeccably clean especially the floors but overall compared to other parks, this was one of the nicest and cleanest ones.  Staff was friendly, we did not eat lunch or dinner but the last day we did the 'leavers breakfast' for 9.99€ per person and this was very good, plenty of things to choose from and service was very good.  I would give it a 3.5 because I was surprised about the cottage and decoration, the livingroom and bedroooms where decent size (especially compared to other parks!), the living room had a leather couch where you could comfortably sit in (not these uncomfortable wooden benches in most cottages!!), there where 2 toilets, 2 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms (all on first floor) so for 6 people absolutely sufficient for the 90m2.  I am not giving a 4 because of the dirty floor and here and there some more attention to detail could be given.  Kitchen appliances where kept to a minimum, it was a challenge cooking for 6 persons with what what available.  Though the seaside was close, there was not much to see or do over there, few things to eat (but no real good ratings on tripadvisor so we did not go there) Overall would recommend and would return to this park.

We've booked a cottage SE for 7 persons through the website of the company itself for a bargain price in January. 

The holiday resort is near the beach, but you have to take a detour to reach the beach by foot. Th beach itself is huge and sandy. In january there were still 2 operating beach pavilions that were packed on  a sunday with beautiful weather. We enjoyed walking at the beach.

There was one disappointment: the website stated that it was possible to use an indoor pool at the Zeeland Village Resort, 4 km from De Soeten Haert but this indoor pool was closed during our visit.  

The spacious cottage with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms was decent enough with a modern dishwasher and old other appliances. The cottage was warm and there was plenty of hot water. We did not dislike the beds and bought some tasty snacks at the cafetaria near the reception. The cottage did not have a normal Roompot keycard entrance system, so we needed to check in at the reception during opening hours

Warning:Cleaning is not included in the base price, so we needed to use the vaccuumcleaner, that turned out to be clogged. 

For groceries we went to the Jumbo supermarket in Renesse, 7 minutes by car, but this was an annoying visit because the shop did not clearly signpost their parking area. 

 If you are looking for  a basic cottage near the sea, this is a good option. If you want something more, it is better to go to Hof Domburg.

A decent, warm and spacious cottage in January

Bring everything. There are no sheets, no towels, and even no toilet paper. You need to clean the place yourself to avoid 65 euro charge which also explained when we arrived why there was sand on the floor in most rooms, a couple of socks and a pacifier still there. (The other key you get is for the cleaning cupboard BTW). Bring all your food as the nearest supermarket is a bit too far to walk and like most things in Holland too expensive. Reception area was staffed by some nice folk, but it is almost never open before Easter. Weird opening hours mean you can't pick up your key after 4pm. What looked like a decent bar/ cafe is only open from 4-8pm. Useless for lunch and useless for an evening beer. The best part of the site are the houses which met our needs and were warm and quiet enough. Don't book their baby beds as they are shot. The beach bars nearby are the highlight of the area but look for ramp entry if you have a pram. 
We booked a bit last minute, but I strongly recommend checking the details before using Roompot again or recommending it to a family.

Bare bones before Easter

The company cancelled my reservation because the park is closed. The refuse to pay the money back, that I have already wired in advance. They only want to give me a voucher - which I refused clearly - and do not comply with their own terms and conditions.

I booked a holiday home for me and some friends. None of us have large living spaces, so we were looking for a nice place to play board games together for a weekend. We paid and everything seemed fine, until I received an email that they expected us all to pay an additional deposit of €500 EACH (coming down to €3500 total!!!). This is a ludicrous and absurd amount of money to ask for, especially considering that our stay was only supposed to cost around €200-300. We are not fortunate enough to be so well off that we can afford to pay that much. That's why we decided against staying at a nicer park in the first place. We had to cancel our stay, and even if we could have afforded it, I don't think we would've gone through with it, as this sudden demand for more money and the presumptions that were made based on our age really soured things for us. We feel extremely blindsided and will not be booking with Roompot again.

Terrible treatment by Roompot

Cottage was dirty, ants crawling everywhere in the living room, poor maintenance, terrible mismatched  beds, table not suitable for 7 adults but it was rented as suitable for 7. Terrible costumer service. We made one mistake by making noise past 11 pm. Security came by at 11:20 pm, we apologised and sopped the game we were playing instantly. The next morning received a threatening letter stating that due to the 1 complaint we hat to pay an extra deposit of €50,- each before 4 pm or we would be removed from the park. (We paid in total €260,- for the whole weekend including €60,- deposit). After speaking on the phone with a very grumpy employee. We decided that we were nt sure we would be seeing that deposit back. So we decided to break off our holiday and return home 2 days early. After filing a complaint the company hides behind the terms and conditions. It would be normal to give 1 warning and then on the second offence a financial consequence. But here they haven'theard of customer friendly service. You should be able to make 1 mistake we are only human.
