Under refurbishment when we arrived, and we had to have breakfast across the road, which was very good. Good location close to centre with bars and restaurants nearby. Entrance is at the side and rooms accessed via a steep staircase, rooms were clean and comfortable..

This is a basic accommodation, acceptable for the price.  Beds were uncomfortable and room was small, ( thin walls)  The owner was not very welcoming but the breakfast waitress was nice. Breakfast was a simple buffet which was nice. The  location was central. Fairly large foyer to leave our bikes in. Above a funky looking jazz which is closed on our visit.

Cycling holiday

Pros:
- close to Grote Markt
- friendly staff
- Well appointed room (top floor). 

Cons:
- Wifi unreliable in top floor rooms. 
- Windows need bug screens (e.g. mosquitos). This is a common problem at many establishments in the summer months. 
- A typical and decent breakfast spread is offered. Unfortunately, during our stay the meat slices appeared a little old and the eating area had a funky smell. 

I stayed here with relatives in April 2014. I didn't feel like I was staying at a B&B at all - it felt like a rather cheap hotel and we weren't made to feel especially welcome at any point. Breakfast was underwhelming (just bread, cheese & jam and the like and a boiled egg) and the atmosphere wasn't great. The rooms were basic but fine and the bathrooms were spotless.
Don't stay here if you can't get up some very steep stairs. The location is great, slap bang in the centre of town but there wasn't much noise from outside. It's also a beautiful building on the outside, though the inside didn't reflect that. 
All in all, a decent room for a reasonable price in a good location, but it's a cheap hotel, not a B&B.
