We stayed here in the second half of January 2020. The staff was friendly, helpful and they were attentive to customers in the reading area. Our room was somewhat small, but that is very normal in older European hotels, and not an issue for us at all. We slept really well. :-)
We spent some time at the bar with our parents before going out for dinner. Afterwards the two of us sat in the reading room, browsed the bookshelves and had a nice relaxing time. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel as we took an early ferry. From previous experience we know the breakfast is good though. The atmosphere near the bar was quite pleasant.  Note: there is no lift to the upstairs, so if using stairs is an issue, please let them know when booking.

Offseason at Zeezicht

Arrived in this hotel end of the day. Good and friendly people. Room was very nice with a great view on the harbor. A bit hot without airco. Breakfast was normal and good. Parking a very small but valid parking available.

Visit office 

Stayed here once before. Couldn' t complain. This time however. Shouting from the bar, loud music, noises from other guests. Did not sleep a wink. Worst room in the house for single guest? Will book somewhere else next time. Staff very Nice though.

Incredibly noisy

Still the best sole around, worth the expense. Excellent service and free parking. Wine-list is not adequate and has been reduced over the years to a miserable list. I regret this for the zeezicht where you could order a decent Chablis in older days.

This hotel was the most expensive on our trip trough the Netherlands and does not match the quality and especially the level of customer service of other hotels we stayed in (Hilton Garden Inn Leiden, Hilton Rotterdam and Park Plaza Victoria Amsterdam). 
Some thhing we did not like: Upon arrival they tried to sell us the breakfast the next morning immediately. They reacted a bit unfriendly when we said we wanted to decide spontaneously the next morning.

The room we booked - a comfort room for EUR 129 without breakfast - did not appeal to us and looked different than on the pictures. Also there was no minibar in the room When we went to the reception to complain we were told "yes sometimes the minibar (fridges) break down and then there is no in the room. There could offer us another room which was 10 Euro more expensive and it looked a bit better and did have a fridge. So we took that one although we felt we should have received the "upgrade" for free Although we booked a comfort room with minibar we had to pay 10 Euro more for the room with the minibar.

When getting settled in the room, the soap container was empty but we didn't want to complain about it and used our own shower get to wash our hands. Also in the bathroom there were no ameninties, like shampoo or anything else.

So in the end we were not satisfied with our stay and left the next morning to our hotel in Amsterdam.

We would not recommend this hotel and not stay here again.

Not worth the money - look for better value

Located direct at the harbour of Vlieland, hotel Zeezicht is a perfect place to stay and discover the island. The rooms are clean, some with seaview, some with terras. The restaurant serves good food and has a nice atmosphere. The large terras in front of the hotel is a good place the have a drink, a snack, lunch or dinner.

Perfect location, great place to be

We had dinner here one night and we were running a little late. But I think, once you let customers into your restaurant and allow them to order dinner, you ought to let the eat in peace. I had the vegetarian ravioli with spinach and ricotta. Quite bland but okay with some extra salt and pepper. I asked for a house salad on the side, but was told this was not possible. I found this strange as my partner ordered the seafood plateau and automatically received a salad on the side. 
We were staying as guests at the sister hotel down the street at the time, and in the room  there was an offer of a free bottle of wine with an à la carte dinner. We asked for this at the restaurant, and fortunately we had taken a picture of the offer to show, because the waiters had never heard of such a thing. 
Finally, the food was good, it is a very nice place to sit with nice decor and view of the harbour. Location is great. But in the end this is not enough to make a great restaurant. You also need the good staff and the friendly welcome or guests will go somewhere else in future.

Good food, bad service

Spend a few nights here - we were late booking and the hotel had a slight discount, so with other places full or more expensive we chose this one. The hotel is right at the ferry terminal and next to the town's main street with some good restaurants and functional shops. Personnel in the hotel were friendly. We were in the 'new wing' which was handy because we could park our bikes right outside our room yet protected from the windy weather. The room was good, but very dark due to the design and only one window/terrace door. Strange given the location right on the harbor. Ask for a room with a view (which will be more expensive). Breakfast in the hotel was ok, nothing special. Beds were good.

Good hotel, wonderful island

What a delightful hotel. Recently renovated and well appointed. Breakfast is a beautiful spread with attention to the little details. Such a pretty location with views from all the windows.  Fabulous location.  

Lovely family owned hotel!

We stumbled upon this hotel rather late in the day after a very long drive from Kiel lucky for us it is in a superb location, served great food from friendly folk, comfortable room and joy of all joys a safe place to park the car!! Would have liked to have stayed another night in this lovely Dutch gem of a town!
