I highly recommend to stay at this hostel!! If you don't need luxury place but want really cosy, easy-going vibe with amazing and attentive staff you can't miss this place. Food is also delicious, they have everything you need. It's peaceful place, if you need get some rest and quiet it's there too. and price is so amazing for the atmosphere you get. If I'm back in Kathmandu I'm deffo coming back to FireFly Hostel!!

great vibe

Such a beautiful and peaceful place to stay.I like the dinning area most.Amazed by their hospitality and food is quite nice too.shops and restaurants are near from the hostel. If I visit Nepal again, I would definitely like to come again :) 

Peaceful 

This hostel had us painting their walls, brought everyone together like a family, had amazing food and the owners made you feel at home. Wonderful atmosphere and the people here made it so special. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.

Favourite hostel

We booked this place over Zostel because Zostel told us if we were 4 or more people they wouldn't let us all stay in the same dorm. Hence, we chose fireflies, which was right nextdoor. The rooms were okay-ish. In our room initially the fan and light wasnt working, but upon letting know at the reception, they fixed it pretty fast. The dining/lounging area could do with a bit of a renovation. Food was good. However, the toilets definitely need some fixing. Toilets seemed like they'd breakdown any minute and were very unclean. I would hope they get them renovated. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Unless you're looking for dirt cheap stay, I wouldn't recommend this place, at least not until they renovate it.

Budget hostel, but could've improved in some areas 

During my travel I stayed here for 3 nights , quite cheap dorm with nice atmosphere with good cafe nice people, helpful throughout the stay ,also arranged my bus tickets to pokhara thanks guys highly  recommended

Warm welcoming

We stayed here after being in India for 2 weeks, the dorms were comfortable and I liked that the beds were divided in a way that you felt you had some privacy. This was a very chilled hostel and the staff were friendly, they also had puppies which was great!
The main thing that let this hostel down for me was that the bathrooms were really really unclean. We stayed for two nights and one of the sinks was blocked the whole time and the toilets were generally pretty dirty.

Bathrooms let this place down 

A very very nice hostel with amazing decoration, friendly staff and comfy common areas. Bedding is not very great but the great atmosphere and the good vibes make you forget that little detail very quickly. Lockers in the room. You can book tours and transportation at the desk, delicious food to purchase at the little bar/kitchen inside. The mezzanine has amazing views and a comfy hammock. The inside swings are a great addition too. Location is perfect because it is not into busy Thamel but just one street away from it. You also feel safe as there is a guard at night.

Good vibes

First place I stayed at in Kathmandu - I guess it is a nice place if you only care about living cheap, meeting people and dont mind weed everywhere. If you want a clean toilet/bathroom and a decent bed, this is not the place for you.

Cheap

Looking for a cheap but also comfort stay in Kathmandu is a task . 
Away from all the noise and pollution lies Fireflies in Pakna Jol . 

Visit is a must to meet some like minded travellers . 

The chill out space is amazing . Relax all you want or go to the touristic spots on foot . 
It's located at the best place
