Bitterwasser is a very large complex with about 22 small chalets. The staff and the manager were very cooperative and tended to our needs. The pool area and the main building are very nice. There is tea at 3pm and dinner starting from 7pm, but can be adjusted to the customer's needs when requested. 
The food was ok, but the dinner was the most expensive one we had during our whole trip through Namibia! However, there is no possibility to eat anywhere else, as this lodge is quite off the beaten track with Mariental and Rehobot being at least a 40min drive away. Due to flooding, the flying center was closed and besides a sun-down game drive, there was not much to do. The next lodge to visit for activities would be Bagatelle, which offer game drives, horse rides, cheetah feeding etc. The chalet we stayed in has seen better days with dust and moths flying around everywhere. Lamps were broken and the fan in our room did not work, but we had airconditioning, so it was not really a problem. 
My opinion is that the lodge is very basic, but requests a very high price in comparison to other lodges we have been to. Bagatelle is obviously a lot more expensive, but much more luxurious at that. Therefore, I would not go back to Bitterwasser.
