Nice breakfast in the morning and friendly host who helped with any issues and showed us around the medina.

A small but friendly Riad/Hotel/House.  We stayed for 3 nights in March on a bed and breakfast basis.  The staff were very friendly and helpful.  Breakfast was delicious with lashings of coffee, yogurt, fruit, boiled eggs, pancakes and even soup.

 Mustapha was very helpful.

The hotel could be a bit difficult to find if you found yourself dropped there in the middle of the night, but you soon got your bearings.

It is situated about 3 minutes away from the main souks which are a myriad of sights and smells.  In the evening we ate out in the main square where most of Marrakech tends to congregate, but a very good experience.

A good hotel at a very reasonable price.  I would stay again.

Traditional Morroccan Hospitality

It's a nice place if u wanna explore the old city's life.

I wouldn't recommend staying here. The rooms were damp and had no windows and the breakfast was minimal. The bathroom was not an ensuite and neither was the shower. Overall run down and 2 days was enough.

Felt like I was staying in a basement

THE BEDROOM:
When we booked online via booking.com, we had the option of selecting either a family room or triple room which were the same price. There were no double rooms available so we opted for the triple room because it looked colourful and bright. Upon arrival, we were shown to a double room - this was perfectly nice however, we wished to stay in the triple room because it is the room we booked and paid for and the one that looked great in the pictures. We were then told a series of white lies as to why we could not have the room we booked: "the shower doesn't work", "two people have booked the same room" and were told we could move in the following day. After some pressure, the host gave in and told us we could have the triple room. This meant there was obviously no problem with it in the first place so we were a bit peeved that we could have potentially missed out if we hadn't kept asking. We were quickly moved into the triple room eventually, which was much nicer and larger. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. 
THE BATHROOM: There was indeed an issue with the shower - the water pressure is extremely weak which made washing hair quite a challenge. The temperature is also hard to control. I think the bedroom and bathroom both need a bit of love and a lick of paint but aside from that was perfectly comfortable and clean. Occasionally there was a smell of sewage in the bathroom so perhaps the pipes need a clean. Minor detail - a pot for toothbrush would be nice. 
THE RIAD: The riad itself has a charm. All of the rooms are off a courtyard which was pleasant but quite dated. It didn't feel very Moroccan - perhaps the decor could be improved. As the rooms all have metal grills opening to the courtyard, it can get quite noisy. The staircases and corridors also need a bit of love and care. 
The terrace was quite disappointing. It needs some definite attention as it could be beautiful if some effort was put in. At the moment there are just a few mismatching tables and chairs dotted around and not much atmosphere. 
THE LOCATION: The riad was extremely difficult to find and we were led around by locals demanding money for half an hour which put us in a bad mood. When we eventually found it, it was in quite a complex, maze like cul de sac with low, dimly lit tunnels and alley ways. Although these appear quite scary, we felt perfectly safe (it's a very residential area). The location once we got our bearings was good, and not a long walk from the square. 
BREAKFAST: The breakfast was ok. We would have preferred freshly squeezed orange juice and actually, a bit more food. Some of the other riads we stayed in gave us yoghurt too and more of a choice of breads. It was not very filling. The tea was fabulous and some of the best we have had in morocco. Another small criticism - perhaps would be nice to have the food served on Moroccan style plates instead of Western (attention to detail)
THE STAFF: The best part about the stay was Mustupha, our host. Aside from the little blip at the beginning, regarding our room, he was a perfect host and seems to be running the whole place himself. He organised our taxi to the airport in short notice and was very pleasant and accommodating. Thank you Mustupha and we hope you take our constructive comments on board.

Lovely place to stay!

My boyfriend and I spent 4 nights at Riad Yassmine House. Initially it was a challenge to find a location of the hostel especially first night when we came directly from the airport. We took a cab but the driver dropped us to Riad Yasmine insead of Riad Yassmine House. So we needed to find a hostel by ourselves. Yassmine House located in the old part of Marrakesh and you can get lost in bad-light tunnels easily while looking for Yassmine House. However,  in a while we could find a place without any difficulties. We had a breakfast every morning that included orange juice, white bread, pancakes, mint tea and jam. The staff was nice and friendly. The place was clean and the bed sheets were changed every day but the towels were not. 
The manager advised us  one day tour to Blue city or Atlas Mt . We decided to choose Blue city. However, we ended up with waterfalls because I guess they put us to the wrong bus despite the fact we said that we are going to Blue city. But the trip was still nice and we enjoyed our time there cause it was our first experience in Morocco and everything seemed to be new for us. The manager helped us with a taxi when we needed to go back to the airport. 
All in all, I can advice Riad Yassmine House to the travelers who are ready to experience a local national Moroccan style and enjoy the simplicity for cheap price.

Bedroom off the ground floor dining room courtyard with3 large doors  thin 'curtains' NO PRIVACY .  No extWindows for ventilation.   NO LOCK on INSIDE OR OUTSIDE of bedroom doors don't  feel safe to leave your child asleep near an unlockable door. The TOILET IS  NOT ENSUITE -OR PRIVATE It can be used by anyone.. It leaks from the S Bend into the dining room.   The SHOWER IS NOT ENSUITE -it is in a  room off another off the main courtyard. The shower is lockable but the room you would get changed in, directly off courtyard is not. This room is lockable from the outside with a padlock . This room arrangement is absolutely useless and not worth the money we paid. bedroom has enormous breakable vases, dodgy electric sockets, an insecure safethe safe is not secured to anything, both single beds are knackered..    NO BLACKOUT DRAPES. NO PRIVATE BATHROOM. NOT AS ADVERTISED. NOT WHAT I PAID FOR.

We booked for a couple with a 3 year old, so we were put in the so called 'family room'.a room which I believe was not previously a bedroom but a room off the ground floor dining room courtyard .  This room has 3 large doors with the thinnest of 'curtains' offering NO PRIVACY AT ALL. Even with the large picture frames we put over the Windows, we could still be seen from first floor bedroom windows  and the dining area.There are no external Windows for ventilation.  There is NO LOCK on the INSIDE OR OUTSIDE OF BEDROOM so you can not lock your things in the room or feel safe to leave your child sleeping in a single bed near an unlockable door even whilst you are in there too. The TOILET IS  NOT ENSUITE - it is in a separate room off the main courtyard dining room. It can be used by anyone.. It leaks from the S Bend into the dining room.   IT IS NOT A PRIVATE BATHROOM. The SHOWER IS NOT ENSUITE -it is in a  room off another off the main courtyard dining room area. The shower is lockable but what I presume is the room you would get changed in, after having a shower is not lockable from the inside so anyone mistakenly opening it from the dining room would see you. This room is lockable from the outside with a padlock so we were able to leave our bags secured in there. HOWEVER , we went away for 2 nights and left bags in the lockable room but on returning SOMEONE HAD ACCESSED THE LOCKED ROOM TO USE THE SHOWER-was wet and had hair in it.  This was not denied by Mustapha. This room arrangement is absolutely useless and not worth the money we paid (over 30GBP). If you use the toilet during the night you have to leave your room to go into the courtyard to enter the toilet room, then on leaving, then use a key to open a padlock on a another door to go to wash your hands before re-entering the bedroom.  In the 'family room' there are 2 enormous breakable vases which are not really suitable for a family room. The electric sockets pull away from walls when you remove your plugs. The safe for belongings is not actually attached to anything so can be picked up and removed quite easily. Both single beds are knackered - the frames are bowing towards the floor. I sat on one bed and the heavy metal frame which the mattress sits on fell to the floor, hitting my sons  feet. If his feet had have been fully under then he  would have lost toes.  (I am not heavy-the beds are just inappropriate!!)...  We did ask before we had stayed a night if we could swap to another room but were told no, (even though we would have all slept in 1 bed, and other rooms do have a do IBM and a single in them). Breakfast is usually a bowl of bread, jam, juice and mint tea.  
NO BLACKOUT DRAPES. NO PRIVATE BATHROOM. NOT AS ADVERTISED. NOT WHAT I PAID FOR. If i could have given no stars i think i would have. Our 5 night stay was only saved as went to Essaiuro for 2 nights in the middle of our trip. £10GBP a night for a much better more private room. I hope to get a response  from Yasminne House management about the room not being as advertised which I paid for.
