This tiny Villa is situated a couple minutes away from the busy Medina of Essaouira!

Without GPS hard to find for the first time!

Once you close the big blue gate behind you, the calm is yours!
There are only 2 rooms( one sleeps 4, one for 3),so if you come as a family the whole place is yours!
Breakfast is included and dinner can be , but has to be preordered though a day in advance!

Jean-Charles, the owner is taking care together with his mom, so you feel very welcome immediately!
We spent 5 nice days there with beautiful weather !
If you want to be on your own, go there and relax!

Absolute calme

Just a couple of km from
the city there's a nice and quit place where one is friendly welcomed an taken care of. Small pool, comfortable rooms, wifi. Breakfast is complete and good. 

You have to know where to go, because there are no signs. If you call the owner he'll guide you. 


Small and friendly oasis 

The reality is very different from the pictures on Booking.com: no garden, tiny pool with dusty seats, breakfast very very cheap. The room is nice but cold. 
No Moroccan or Mediterranean dinner is offered. 
The place is very hard to find, and still quite far from Essaouira. We could hardly find our way back at night. 
The welcoming is not very nice, you definitely do not feel as a guest.
No wifi available.

Kind of a rip-off!

Having spent a week staying in Essaouira right in the middle of things in the Medina (great experience, but not exactly relaxing and, as we had been warned, windy and remarkably chilly at night) in our second week we wanted to be able to unwind and just enjoy the sunshine. Villa Salvatore was a perfect choice! The garden with its colonnades around the pool is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and stylishly decorated with a Moroccan feel and have large en suite bathrooms. We had the suite and a double room, both of which open onto the terrace and pool and feel very private. We particularly enjoyed the pool, which is a good size and has comfortable sun loungers around it as well as a covered gazebo with seating for those who need to retreat into the shade.
Jean Charles and Giovanna made us feel extremely welcome and were always available if we needed them without being at all intrusive....on arrival Jean Charles told us that we should feel Villa Salvatore was "our home" during our stay, and that really was how it felt. Particular thanks go to Jean Charles, who went to great lengths to obtain soya milk for my vegan son. 
Ghazoua is only 8km out of Essaouira, so an easy trip into the town for souks and restaurants. The nearest beach is even closer. Being inland just a little means that you are out of the Atlantic wind....it is noticeably hotter in Ghazoua than Essaouira. We hired a car, but there were always taxis on the road and they may be a cheaper option. 
We can thoroughly recommend Villa Salvatore and hope very much to return there.

An oasis of calm

Myself and my girlfriend stayed here for 2 nights in april after staying in a 5 star hotel in essaouria. The villa is set out of town but only 3-6 € in a taxi which regularly come down the road. It is very tranquil and a great away from it all place. There are only two rooms, we had the double as opposed to the family room and it was huge, a comfortable bed witha big en suite with lots of hot water. Breakfast was nothing special but nice enough. I would recommend to anyone who facnies a couple of days away from it all relaxing around the pool reading a book.
