Can’t say enough about this place! Perfect balance of privacy and convenience in todos santos. Waking up to beautiful sunrises and seeing whales breaching from your own balcony and bed made morning coffee memorable. Close to town for errands and morning coffee and the sister hotel, down the hill, was truly an oasis paradise. Carlos and Ulysees took great care of us at the pool. Caesar was amazing upon check in. Made sure we were all set before letting us go. Proud to say it felt like you were staying with family. Would be happy to stay again.

Private Luxury at it's finest

Villas La Mar has completely exceeded our expectations yet again! This was our second time staying here—this time for our honeymoon—and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect getaway. We stayed for three nights in Suite 10, the same suite we fell in love with on our first visit. Falling asleep to the soothing sound of waves and enjoying the cozy firepit on the deck made our stay feel absolutely magical.

One of the highlights of this trip was discovering their new sister hotel, La Poza, which has an excellent restaurant called Na Ha. The free golf cart rides from Villas La Mar to La Poza made exploring super convenient. We ended up going there multiple times for meals and massages. The massages were top-notch, and a big shoutout goes to Cindy who helped us book them. She was incredibly friendly and attentive, making the whole experience seamless. We also have to mention Carlos at La Poza—he served us each time we dined at Na Ha and provided wonderful hospitality and service.

Another pair of staff members who truly made us feel like family were Caesar and Cindy (at Villas La Mar). They were both exceptionally helpful and greeted us with genuine warmth. Their positive energy really enhanced our overall stay.

We can’t wait to come back again in the future—Suite 10 will definitely be calling our names! If you’re looking for a peaceful escape with great food, fantastic service, and stunning ocean views, Villas La Mar (and its sister property La Poza) should be at the top of your list. Highly recommended!

Amazing yet again!

Absolutely stunning ocean and mountain views. The staff was incredibly friendly and were onsite until 10pm every night. They were always helpful.There is a beautiful community patio with an infinity pool, but no bar or restaurant. The place has a close relationship with the resort LaPonza at the bottom of the hill which has a tasty restaurant, bar, massage services and access to the nearby lagoon with free kayaks. I wouldn’t swim in the water. It has a dirty feed stream.Now for the tough part. These details may turn off very sensitive travelers, but some places you travel, you just adapt and overcome.The noise from the the ocean surf can literally be BOOMING! Pop in some earplugs for bed.The steps to and from units are somewhat treacherous and building codes aren’t what they are in the states. Just take your time, and maybe ask the staff for help with luggage. The roads in and out were, different. We had a 4 door sedan that we rented from the airport, and a couple of places I wondered if we’d get through. I wouldn’t drive anything low to ground in here.If you can get past these inconveniences, the payoff is worth it for one of the most breathtaking views I’ve ever seen from a hotel room.

Absolutely phenomenal boutique hotel property with a picturesque view of the the Pacific Ocean and Todos Santos Beach and lagoon. This such a tranquil place away from the touristy hustle and bustle, with access to the beach, and a super nice pool where you can bath in the sun, unwind, or capture and incredible sunset. The room we booked had a patio with furniture and an outdoor fireplace, which we used long into the night - very very romantic and peaceful. You can leave the windows open at night and hear the waves crashing into the shore, crickets chirping, birds, and during the day, there are no pesky pedestrian noises. The staff, mainly Cindy and Max, we’re also extremely hospitable, welcoming, and responsive to all of our needs 5/5 would highly recommend this place to anyone needing a true escape, such as couples, people working remotely who need to focus, or those needing to reconnect with themselves spiritually.

Staying at Amanda's oceanfront apartment was an absolute dream! The location was stunning, with breathtaking views of the ocean right from the balcony. The highlight of my stay was definitely falling asleep on the hammock while listening to the soothing sound of the waves crashing against the shore. Amanda was a fantastic host, and everyone at La Mar was accommodating and responsive throughout. Can't wait to come back for another relaxing getaway. Thank you!

What an amazing place! The scenery was beautiful, and so was the hotel itself.  The room was spacious and architectural, and had incredible views from every angle. They had the cutest little pool area,  we were also able to use the sister hotel’s pool which reminded me of a gorgeous boho villa in Bali. The staff were so kind and charming. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

Beautiful place with amazing people

During our first trip to Todos Santos, we opted to stay at Villas La Mar. What a wonderful experience we had!  The villas are amazing (we stayed in #6)!  Best views of the amazing bay with so many whales breaching and swimming near the shore.  The villa offered a nice kitchen, two beds, ample bathroom and a great patio to view the spectacular sunsets and enjoy al fresco dinning.

The beds are firm but very comfortable (especially if you have back problems).  We slept very well both nights with the sound of the ocean below and the clean breeze coming through the window.

We will definitely stay at the Villas again on our next trip to Todos Santos.

Wonderful Stay!

Second time here at Villas La Mar.  Last year we stayed in Villa 17, at the very top of almost 100 stairs.  The view from there was unparalleled, grand vista to be sure.  But this year we chose Villa 10, only 16 steps down, and while the view isn't as grand as 17, it is still stunning.  We LOVE staying at Villas La Mar....first off, everything is spotless.  Every three days your room is cleaned again and all made up.  Secondly, you have a kitchen with everything you need to cook and eat in.  We love the fact that some days we just want to make our own dinner or breakfast and eat it on the deck taking in the gorgeous view.  We also love the location...just minutes from town (and don't let anyone tell you that a four wheel vehicle is needed....it is not) and a trail takes you down to a beach where you can walk for miles and miles.  And one of the things we love the most is the people....Amanda is such a joy to work with when arranging reservations, and is always so prompt in responding to whatever inquiry you might have.  She even sent us a list of restaurants open on Christmas day as we were arriving that evening and wasn't sure if there would be somewhere to eat.  The staff on site are always so helpful and friendly...loved meeting Cesar this year, and Cindee and Joaquin were also so extremely helpful.  And it is so nice to be able to use the beach chairs, umbrella and cooler for our visits to the beach.  The pool/cabana area is so inviting...we actually took a break from the beach a couple of days and just chilled beside the pool.  If there is one drawback to staying here, I would say it is parking, particularly when the Villas are all full....but we were always able to find a spot to park.   Villas La Mar will always be our go-to spot to stay whenever we come to Todos Santos (which seems to be every year)


The Best Spot to Stay While in Todos Santos


WOW! Look no further. This is the room you are looking for to enjoy your Todos Santos getaway. We saw whales from our bed!!! The road in is dirt but it leads to the most picturesque villas perched on a scenic hill above an empty beach. The waves are huge and crash magnificently all night. Not to mention the stars! The pool area is luxurious and scenic- the pool was lukewarm but must feel glorious in the summer. The bed was extremely comfortable and we enjoyed all of the amenities offered in the room- coffeemaker, fridge, dishes, even a toaster. My only feedback would be that there are indeed many stairs…. And be careful! This room is so beautiful that you might end up pregnant!
