Unfriendly staff and signs everywhere telling you  what you can’t do. Felt like a prison. We had family in the area and they weren’t allowed to come say goodbye to us. We had to talk to them on the beach only. You have to eat your meals in the shady restaurant and you’re not allowed to take your food to a sunny table on the pool deck. They are so worried about theft that they pretty much make you feel like a criminal. The shower broke in our room so we had to move to another room. We had someone stand like a guard and watch us move all of our belongings, not help us or be apologetic about our inconvenience. They were only concerned that we had key cards for each room and that something would go missing. The view was fantastic but there are several hotels on the beach with the same view, take our advice and stay at a different one. There are so many other hotel with staff  who are happy to welcome you, stay somewhere else with authentic hospitality.

Our stay this year at the Torreblanca was once again a four star vacation. As far as location it is still the best beachfront hotel for your hard earned pesos in Rincon de Guayabitos, IMHO. 

The staff (as usual) were amazing and go out of their way to ensure that you enjoy your stay.   Mucho gracias to Ariana at the front desk, Raphael, Junior, Avi and Francisco in the restaurant.  Elena our housekeeper was awesome.  Our room was kept very clean and was made up everyday well before noon.  There was always hot water in the shower.  The beds were really comfortable and the free wifi worked for entire stay. 

The hotel had a new rule this year, two snacks and dinner meals a week in the restaurant were added to your bill.  First of all, the meals were great the BBQ ribs and azteca soup were delicious. Considering you were getting a drink, salad bar, soup, main course with dessert this was very reasonable.  

We certainly noticed that the overall atmosphere at the hotel was vastly improved over the previous year, as the majority of chronic whiners, who could not handle the changes did not return.  Hallelujah!!!  We cannot wait to return next year.

The Staff are Wonderful 

Staff was great. Meals were good. I did notice the selection of food was repetitive. I love the location of the hotel and the view from the rooms. We stopped here for one night and the room we got was clean and I had no issues. We left for Puerto Vallarta and after our trip there was over we decided to come back to Torreblanca Suites for the remainder of our trip. The room we got the second time was NOT clean. I was grossed out by the bathroom and you could tell the beds were dirty. This hotel would really benefit from an upgrade. Invest in fresh paint, NEW TOWELS, NEW LINENS and add a microwave and you'll have my business again.

Has potential but needs a lot of upgrading!

We are staying at the Torreblanca and it is a lovely accommodation.  I have noticed comments about the food.  If you wish something special, I am a vegetarian, just talk to the owner Lauranna who runs the restaurant and she is so accommodating!  She asks the day before if the menu will suit me and they go out of their way to make beautiful meals.  The staff is polite and helpful, always trying to improve their English and couldn’t be more accommodating.
Please don’t gripe about the food or service, be respectful and ask the owners and they will go out of heir way to accommodate you!

Wonderful stay

You get what you paid for. nice clean  all the rooms have beach view , just a few minutes away from downtown . . Walking distance to the beach . You can vist Isla del Coral . or just walk down the beach -

Our stay this year at the Torreblanca Suites was definitely a four star vacation. As far as location goes, it is the best beachfront hotel in Rincon de Guayabitos IMHO.

Some thoughts:

THE GOOD:

The staff MVP was Cece our housekeeper who’s cheerful, warm and friendly personality made our stay even more special.

Our room was very kept very clean and was made up everyday well before 1 p.m.  There was always hot water in the shower.  The beds were really comfortable and the free wifi worked great for the entire stay. 

THE BAD:
Once again breakfast became rather ordinary.   They really need more variety at the fruit bar.  They also need to change up the cereal selection, Fruit Loops for mainly adults???  Really!!!

THE UGLY:
Let’s address the white elephant in the room.  The hotel had a new rule this year that you had to eat two dinner meals a week in the restaurant at a cost of 350 pesos/pp.  This became a major bone of contention to a number of guests who constantly whined and complained that they could get the same meal in town for half the cost.  Cow cookies!  First of all the meals were great, the BBQ ribs, chicken fajitas and azteca soup were delicious. Considering you were getting a drink, salad bar, soup, main course with dessert and tip included this was very reasonable.  Luckily most of the guests who had the grumpy faces about the cost of the meals did not rebook for next year.  Good riddance.
