La Villada Inn Ecological

A hidden gem! Villada offers bare bones rooms with wonderful amenities and hospitality. I needed a night away from the city and chose Villada Inn for its lovely pool and location. Villada Inn is tucked up in the Oaxaca City hills on a quiet street surrounded by mountain views. The owner, and the innkeeper/cook and her daughter handle the day-to-day operations. The innkeeper greeted me upon arrival and allowed me to check in early to take advantage of the pool. My lunch and dinner was made to order by the Zapoteca innkeeper. She cooks the most amazing mole! There's a small on-site chapel, temescal, studio/meeting room and new bar area. The bar area is not yet open. It also looks like they are still renovating. I must also mention there was a rainstorm during dinner which provided a once in a lifetime experience that I'll never forget. The innkeeper and her daughter were always making sure I was happy and comfortable. I hated to leave and already planning my next visit. Love you, Villada!
