horror place

I checked in this place because I arrived in KL around 3 am, with no specific itinerary or booking.  All I knew was I wanted to see Petaling Jaya, so I asked taxi drivers for its location and walked towards it from Puduraya.  I walked pass this place and entered two other BB/Inns but they were full as it was a weekend.  The man on the second inn recommended this hostel as always being open, so I walked towards it.  It was almost 4:30 am, I was tired.  The male receptionist was initially charging me RM30 to stay in the aircon room from 4:30am  to 12 PM.  I asked if I could just pay RM20 and check out to look for another place in the morning.  I was led to the second floor, through a stinky corridor, to a room that was also stinky.

The aircon was so horrible, that I switched on the fan.  The stench was bothersome that I did not get to sleep at all.  As early as 7 am, I went out to pass the time and just got back at 12 PM to shower, get my stuffs, and check out.

I do travel backpacker style, but I realized that this place is just where I'd draw the line.  I don't know what this building used to be, but it is just a very sad and stinky place.  This is one of my saddest memories of my first-time travel to KL.

And yes, bed bugs abound.  The shower room is a makeshift cubicle with odd pieces of plywood and protruding rusty nails.  The only good thing about it is the water pressure is good.  Aside from this, there is just nothing else good about this stinky place.  And for RM 30, I believe that BUNC Radius Hostel on the next street (Petaling Jaya) is a much better choice.

SORRY PLACE

Awful hostel, I only chose as I arrived late and it was raining heavily. Bathrooms are a mess, service is terrible, spotted a rat within the first hour and the rooms are covered in bugs. Do not stay here.

Horror

i have stayed here many times over the years and the standads have constantly gone down. the price for a room with fan is 35 ringgit..that is US$10 per night. rooms are clean and beds are ok for a night or two. but not more.
staff are cold and this is now a place for illegal immigrants, homeless or anyone from the third world looking for a cheap place to stay. 
bathrooms are usually broken, dirty and for emergency use only.
this is now a place where you stay if you cant find any thing else, or are here just to catch a flight.
if possible dont bother staying here. there are plenty of options around.
