We stayed here as part of a multi night tour and was very pleasantly surprised. The staff was extremely friendly, the food was delicious and plentiful and the grounds were well kept. We cannot speak more highly of the folks at Matfam, consider if looking for budget accommodations in Nakuru.

A nice comfortable 2-day stay. Clean place, wonderful staff and proprietors. Our room was large and clean, in the back corner and had 2 large windows. A very cozy view! At night they turned down our beds and closed the curtains - a nice touch! We ate dinner outside on the lawn - it was a lovely buffet. They have a pool that looked like a lazy river! But we only got cocktails from the bar and sat by the pool. It was too chilly for us! Other ppl did use the pool, and they were playing good music in the background while we were there. There were several stray cats around and it was fun to observe them running around the property.

We were delighted with our stay at the matfam hotel. The management is attentive, and the staff adorable and take great care to make our stay pleasant. The rooms are simple and comfortable with a hotel service. The swimming pool, the bar, the restaurant, everything is perfect and ideal for spending a few days of relaxation in peace and green. Also at the top for the organization of a day at Nakuru Park, and transfer to Nairobi. If you pass by...don't hesitate! This is an address to remember!

We spent one night at this lovely little hotel! We were greeted by the most welcoming receptionist and the owner hotel ☺️ the room was immaculate and large. Dinner was tasty and the bar area was really fun with a good atmosphere. We had a brilliant evening chatting to the owner. The pool looked lovely but we did not get a chance to use it.

Annoyingly, tripadvisor requires a 200-character written review, which I really don't want to do for some entities. This hotel certainly merits a "5" rating, especially considering where it is, but not for any specific asset. Certainly felt like an especially safe and secure place, especially with the military base just across the street.

I booked a night here and the handling was ok.From food,staffs everything.The food was delicious and delivered on minimal time. The cost was pocket friendly The rooms were clean and I  therefore recommend anyone visiting Nakuru to book a night at this hotel.

We stayed here for one night and the resort was really good. Staffs are friendly and ready to help. Rooms are neat and tidy but there were no AC / Fan. The pool was good and the lawn is beautiful. Dinner and breakfast was served and both were delicious. Dinner was stared with soup and followed by main course. The place is very quiet and rooms had TV. Altogether a decent place to stay. Would highly recommend. 

we booked this hotel throw our travel agent in kenia its located in quite place with good security around, good food, nice rooms, friendly reception and din't thought it have facility like swimming pool i was suprised to get in this hotel i recommend to other travellers

The staff were lovely and the rooms clean and tidy. The pool area was lovely and well kept. The food was not the best purely down to lack of options but what was cooked was very nice. 

The location to lake Nakuru national park was very good (around 5/10 minutes) and away from the city which was nice.

We stayed here as part of a 10 day safari. Our room was comfortable, good facility, comfortable.  The food was pretty good, I think we were the only ones here.  It is somewhat sad to see places like we have been staying trying so hard to get back into the swing of things since the Covid virus shut everything down earlier this year.  I have enjoyed helping them with our visit.

Nice place to stay while visiting Nakuru.

I spent a night at this hotel as part of a 4-day budget safari tour.  My basic room had plenty of hot water and wifi (which initially didn't work until they reset it).  The water in the pool did not look the cleanest.  Options at the buffet dinner included soup so not too bad.  The biggest issue I had was with the noise at night - initially I thought there was construction going on but after making enquiries with reception, I understood the noise to be from loose scaffolding on the roof.  The noise was loud and really affected my sleep.  The guy in the room next door also heard the noise so they should really do something about it for future guests.

basic but okay for short stay

This is more of a resort for the kenyan people rather than those doing safari. It’s like a holiday place for kenyan people. Not the cleanest, but need to remember you are in kenya… its not like the UK. The room however does have a TV and good wifi, so take a firestick or something similar to watch tv on!
