This gem of a boutique house is located a few hundred meters from the famous Hashem restaurant in downtown Amman. The hotel is decorated with beautiful paintings and knick knacks throughout.
My room was sparkling clean with a rain shower and one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on. The WiFi was super fast. Thair the owner/manager was super helpful and accommodating.  Breakfast is served in the cute miniature reception area and was excellent. All of this for $22 a night. Absolutely brilliant.

We loved our stay here. Staff are lovely and a huge yummy breakfast was served each morning. The location is perfect. Rooms are big and clean and the bed was super comfy and cosy. The view from the roof is amazing. Will definitely stay here again when we visit Amman

Very nice hotel located in the heart of Amman. A minute distance from Hashem restaurant and Habibah sweets. Walking distance to Citadel(20 min).
Thair, the host , show us what jordanian hospitality means. Very good breakfast. 
Matresses are the best,we’ve slept like babies.

Inexpensive, yet high quality friendly guesthouse in the heart of Amman, yet quietly located away from the hustle and bustle of nearby Sha'aban and Prince Muhammad Street. Tastefully designed and fully living up to the 'gallery' name. 
Thair, the manager, is not just friendly, informal and personable, but also a treasure trove for local information. Great to organise tours around Amman through him. The guest house has a lovely roof terrace which is quite special. Most major attractions in walking distance which makes this a real find.

The only thing that may need improving is the tuning of TV-channels. But then there's so much to see around this lovely guest house , you may not want to spend too much time in the rooms watching TV anyway.

This is a cute Guesthouse located in the best place in Amman,nothing can beat this.Thair is a very friendly, kind hearted host. He helped us a lot. They offer Jordanian breakfast. Highly recommended it if you go to Amman. Everything is close, but still on a hidden street.

Gallery guest house is a perfect place to be as first time tourist in Jordan. The host takes care of you and the location is perfect to visit the most historical and most characteristic parts of Amman. The host prepares an abundant and rich breakfast. He was also very kind and flexible for a last-minute change of our booking.
We have also booked a bunch of tours through the guest house.

Incredibly clean.  Thair was amazingly accommodating and took me around Amman to some great bars and delicious places to enjoy authentic Jordanian cuisine. If I ever return to Amman, there is no question that I will stay with him. Highly recommended and close to old Amman and the city centre. He makes you feel at home.

The host was one of the most friendly and helpful people we have meet - we enjoyed our stay to the fullest and we recommend this place to everyone!

We were very happy with our room which was spacious and the location is very good. You can walk down town and get to Rainbow Street quite easily. The breakfast was fantastic with such a lot to eat. The staff were very helpful and we would definitely return.

A pretty little guesthouse in a spick-and-span residential building a short but very steep climb from the Downtown district - you can use the excellent Hashem restaurant as a landmark as it's only about 250m from this Amman institution. If you have health or mobility issues, this might be quite a taxing climb - or take one of the many taxis around. There isn't much direct street noise, as it is located in a little used (but well lit street) above downtown, but the hum of Downtown is clearly audible. Also, given its location in the deep bowl that is Downtown, you will hear the early call to prayer amplified. 

I had booked a single room and was upgraded to a double (the kind of room you see in most pictures) when I arrived in the afternoon. Sadly, early check-in was only possible at payment of another night. 

My room on the first floor (no lift) was fairly small but beautifully appointed with nice linens, useful furniture, and a very clean and modern bathroom. Amman can get very cold in the winter, and there appears to be not much central heating, so having a functioning heater in the room is so important! Heating in my room worked well, although the communal areas including the breakfast room/reception were freezing!

The bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in, and linens were of high quality. Also, the bathroom was new and clean, and a hairdryer provided. 

If you are comfortable with a bit of climbing, the location is excellent in easy walking distance to the Downtown attractions yet relatively quiet. I never felt unsafe as a solo female walking here after dark. 

Breakfast was my second worst in Jordan... there wasn' t much of it, and every one got served exactly the same - some omelette, cucumber and tomatoes, some rather good hummus and a piece of cake, but there wasn't any second helpings, and you only drink option was tea. A shame, because a little more attention to breakfast (and perhaps some heating in reception and less terrible paint stripper shampoo) would really lift this place into a different class. 

They do provide taxi services, with prices posted in reception. They seemed a bit on the pricey side, although not excessively so, and I would certainly be happy to pay them if the driver spoke good English.

I still give it maximum points because it provided excellent value for money and its location is really excellent for Downtown.
