This was probably one of the most welcoming locations I have ever visited.  Team simply could not have done any more to make me feel welcome.  Clean and super efficient.  Location is suburban Tokyo so I got a real sense of normal life. Komagome Station is a 2 minute walk away and the main line (platform 2) takes you to Tokyo Center and the mono rail to airport. 

Wax facilities just have to be experienced. If you’re not sure what the protocol is just watch other guests 😊 no English on signs or menus but this just adds to the authenticity.

I'm not really sure how to review this place, I went for the experience and that's what I got!

This place wasn't designed for tourists, the people behind the desk spoke no English whatsoever (I stayed in 6 places in Japan and this was the only place where this was a major issue, obviously I tried to learn basic Japanese, with limited success) so it was hard to know what was going on. 

The first flaw was that they only have tiny lockers to keep stuff in, so I was forced to keep my bag behind reception, they charged for this service.

The shower/ sauna/ jacuzzi/ steam room area was nice, but you need to be ok with public nudity! 

The capsules themselves were better than expected, it looked like a morgue, but they were bigger than expected, I could sit up comfortably. The main issue was that the mattress was very thin and the capsule was hot (there was a loud fan, but it didn't seem to make much difference).

The location was very good, only a couple of minutes from the subway.

It was definitely an experience and was cheap and as advertised, I'm not sure I'd recommend to a friend but it's fine for a night! 

An experience! 

This capsule hotel is a 2-min walk from Komagome Station (3 stops away from Ikebukuro and 10-min ride into Ueno). It's a quieter part of Tokyo but has food available and some shrines to visit nearby. 

I stayed only one night and it had everything I needed: showers, sauna room, make-up and hair drying area, lockers, somewhere to sleep, pyjamas and towels. I didn't use the TV in the capsule but they also provide earphones for that. 

The shower and sauna areas are shared so only if you don't mind being naked around other women. They also have a no tattoo policy. 

The staff were friendly and the location was really convenient. I'd definitely stay here again.

Great price, all you need for a short stay

We wanted to experience a capsule hotel in Japan. This one accommodates women too, many are male only. We travelled as a couple, and we knew that we would have to stay on different floors and capsules. The female sauna floor was clean and felt very japanese, I was the only western women. I would recommend if you travel on your own or for the experience. The restaurants around the hotels were good too, again hardly any tourists.
