Mercure Nagano Matsushiro Resort & Spa

This is the best value for money hotel I've ever stayed in Japan or even in my life. I don't quite understand those who gave negative feedback, what do they expect for a 80 USD per twin hotel. so I feel the need to encourage the hotel with my satisfaction 1. 2mins off-highway, super convenient if you drive 2. I'm so impressed by the breakfast; the selection is from sake to sparkling wine, from ice cream to marshmallows, the croissant or porridge, east or west, everything is so so delicate and delicious, all smoothies are freshly made, I didn't want to leave when they close. For this trip, most of the hotel i spend around 500USD per night, and I can't believe this mecure has the best breakfast. I only booked because of its location. 3. They have free lounge for every one twice a day, 21:00 - 23:00 free flow of cocktail 4. The hotel is spotlessly clean everywhere, consider its so big, its really a good job 5. the Japanese Pyjamas they provide are the best I have had in Japanese hotels, with nice color fabric and design, and they are so easy to wear, I asked the receptionist whether it's for sale, but unfortunately, they weren't. I almost want to steal one, haha, as it's so comfy. 6. its a resort, so you can walk around in your slippers, super confi for us Chinese. 7. public bath is beyond my expectations, onsen has high water quality, I travel to Japan every two months, to try different hidden onsen ryokan, and they have good water for such a price. 8. yes room is old style, but its large, the view is spectacular, and i guess they only had the budget to renovate the 1st and 3rd floors, I'm happy with the room as I am only there to sleep, and the bed is confi. 9. 3-minute walk there is a huge supermarket and pharmacy, I bought lots of local food and tried. 15-minute walk, there is a elegant museum, the old palace of the previous master(真田家族） of this area, and a small Japanese castle, I had a 3 hours walk, almost nobody, beautiful little village. surrounded by snow mountains, peaceful , historical and charming 10. The hotel is equipped with laundry and microwave, which is very thoughtful 11. my checking in was completed within around 10 mins, I checked in at 18:00 11. I rarely write reviews, I'm just so happy with this hotel and feel I have to.
