102 reviewsWe stayed 2 adults and 2 teenagers for 5 nights at Kaede and it was really a perfect choice. Excellent location within walking distance to many, many restaurants--Kaede is virtually in the centre of Kyoto. There is a large common room where you can relax quietly and drink as much tea as you like. Kids loved the bunk beds in the room with a curtain to hide... Rooms, bathrooms, shower are perfectly clean and all work perfectly. We had shared showers and bathrooms and it was perfect. We'd stay again there without any hesitation. Staff was very helpful for what to do in and around Kyoto. Breakfast is basic (breads/croissants/brioches) but excellent for what it is. I wouldn't hesitate to book, there are no bad surprises there. Plus there's a big beautiful tempe just next to the hotel that you can visit.
