39 reviewsI chose this place based on two criteria: price and location. Neither disappointed me. A short 3-minute walk to the SE of Shin-Kobe station, this small "retro" style inn was just what I was looking for. The staff are kind and patient, but I believe they speak only Japanese. However, all the signs are bilingual, so it's easy for English readers to understand. This basic business hotel cost only ¥7560 ($65) for a single room for one night. It included a unit bath, TV, Wi-Fi, wake-up call, small fridge, and the usual bath amenities. If I visit Kobe again, I would like to stay long enough to try their breakfast. All in all, a real deal. If you are looking for luxury, go to the Crowne Plaza, but if you are on a budget, and don't mind small spaces as long as they are clean, then you can't do much better than the Sun Members!
