BellaVista Bike Stop

This was the first time I stayed in a B&B. I have never booked an Airbnb or B&B before as I always liked the comfort and convenient amenities that a traditional hotel offers, but I have definitely changed my mind after staying in this accommodation. My partner who lives in the area found this based on my criteria (air-conditioning and large enough bathroom) and suggested that we stay here as there are not much hotels around plus the friends we were with wanted to stick to a budget. The booking process was a bit unconventional as we did not give any credit card to reserve the rooms, but it was quite easy as we directly booked it with the owner. Of course there is no 24 hour reception and the keys were left in a security key box outside of the B&B, so instructions were provided to us beforehand on how to retrieve them. The B&B was quaint but very clean and functional. There are only 4 rooms in total so it was a bit intimate and quiet, th perfect ambiance for a relaxing stay. There is a shared kitchen, living room and terrace/dining area with an excellent view of Spoltore and it's surrounding areas. We booked the La Maiella room which were 2 adjoining rooms with a private bathroom. I wasn't a fan of the bed frames as I am on the heavy side but their pillows were comfortable and I still got a good rest during our stay. Breakfast was pretty basic, croissants and some biscuits. What made breakfast time more memorable was the magnificent view we enjoyed while sipping some good italian coffee. We stayed there for 5 nights I think during Feragosto and they had a local celebration there which unfortunately we were not able to enjoy eventhough the B&B is right in the center of the town where the shows were happening. The relaxing breeze on the terrace partnered with the lovely view of the area urged us to stay at the B&B most of the time. In one of the evenings, we even cooked BBQ on the terrace. We asked the owner in advance if we can do this and she agreed. Although everything was not perfect, I am still giving this accommodation 5 stars because of the lovely view, relaxing ambiance and the friendly owner. I highly recommend this place whenever you drop by Abruzzo.
