Hotel Ambasciatori

My husband and I got married barefoot on the beach at Hotel Ambasciatori this year in May. We had the most wonderful, unforgettable stay and would love to go back. Wedding: Julie helped us to plan our special day. She kept in regular contact and gave great guidance and advice when it came to making important decisions. Julie has great contacts with local suppliers and professionals, and is just as excited as you are in creating your vision. We had a symbolic ceremony on the beach followed by a superb cocktail hour (You can get legally married on the beach too). Once my husband and I returned from taking pictures in the local area with our wedding photographer, we were treated to a 7-course Italian feast. The food was excellent and all of our guests requirements were catered for. Julie sourced the tastiest cake we have ever eaten (our guests always talk about THAT cake), and arranged a magnificent firework display and sparklers. I could go on and on about what a truly amazing experience Julie and the staff at Hotel Ambasciatori created for us all. Food: During our stay we ate really tasty food in the hotel's restaurant. Each day the chef would get us to choose what we wished to eat later in the day, so they had time to prep. We travelled with a couple of vegetarians, vegans and someone with a nut allergy, and they were all well-catered for. I recommend letting staff know about any allergies/intolerances/dietary requirements, as the hotel is very accommodating and will make sure you have a good dining experience. Rooms: We stayed in the Bridal Suite which was lovely. We had a beautiful view from our balcony and the room had everything that we needed (i.e. fridge, safe, tv, etc). The Bridal Suite even includes a separate room for brides to keep their wedding dresses and to get ready in. The rooms were clean, comfy and quiet for us to have restful sleep. Staff: I have never been to a hotel with better staff - they are welcoming, friendly, polite, happy and helpful. The hotel is family-run and they appear to pride themselves on excellent customer service. Julie and her family have great recommendations for places to visit in the local area, and useful knowledge about what events are on. Also, make sure to ask the staff to borrow the free bikes! They were really great fun to use up and down the stretch of beach. Location: The hotel is situated at the end of the stretch of beach, which is quiet and relatively private. It is within walking distance of beach bars, restaurants and shops. I know I'm probably forgetting details ... but I would definitely recommend the Hotel Ambasciatori for a couples getaway, chilled family holiday or for an idyllic beach wedding!
