I spent a week here in July with my husband. We booked this place as our "home base". We knew we wanted to visit Crete and maybe stay overnight at some places but didn't want to carry our suitcases everywhere we went. This appartment was perfect for that. It is close to the airport, has magnificent views, and has a terrific host/landlord. You will need a car to get around though. The appartment is extremely clean and has everything you could need (fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, beach towels & umbrella and so on). As an extra bonus, Giorgos (the owner), provides maps and is very helpful in guiding you in the right direction. It is definitely worth it to speak to him about your plans, he knows Crete very well! Th only downside is that there are dogs and a rooster down the hill and you sometimes hear them at night. That being said, I feel that this was the perfect place for us to stay while visit Crete.
