Città Studi Suites - Top Collection

Stayed here with my wife on a three-day city break and found this to be a very nice, well located guesthouse with modern facilities. Owner (Alessandro) was welcoming and helpful, and room was clean and well equipped with a mini fridge, coffee machine, kettle and TV. Wi-Ffi reception was excellent. Breakfast was basic - prepacked croissant and toast, jam,honey, Nutella, plain yogurt, orange, coffee and water - and was left in room each day. Was apprehensive that as we had booked a room with a shared bathroom we would have to queue to use it, but in fact this was no problem as we had to share with only one other room. It is very handily located, within easy travelling distance of city centre There is a tram stop opposite and the Lambrate rail station and Metro (it is just four stops to the central station) are just a few minutes walk away There are a few restaurants and cafes nearby and a Lidl just around the corner. Only slight downsides were that breakfast was not as substantial as you may get elsewhere and that the lack of a permanently staffed reception (you are given a key for the entrance gate and front door) mean that it may not be suitable if you are not a very independent traveller.
