What a wonderful stay we had with Domenico at Villa Sara! Genuinely one of the most attentive hosts we’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting, he was on hand for recommendations and help from the moment we booked to the moment we checked out. The room was spacious and well equipped and the large private terrace looking out onto Mount Etna was a real highlight for us. Breakfast was incredible; Domenico made sure to check our preferences on the first day and then we were greeted by so much lovely food each morning. He encouraged me to try the pistachio pastry which was amazing! The B&B is on the hillside so you need to be relatively fit if you want to attempt the walk into Taormina (only about 5-10 minutes but up and down a lot of steep steps). However there is a bus stop right outside and again Domenico was very helpful in providing timetables etc so don’t let that put you off. We loved our time here and would definitely return if we’re ever in Taormina again.
