Everything was perfect. The owner was super helpful and very friendly. Room was comfortable and perfect!

The cheapest place in the old town. Feels like a hostel, especially with shared bathrooms. If you need a cheap place to stay for a night or two, this is it.

On arrival the staff made us wait 20 mins before arriving to let us in. We had prepaid our accommodation online but they asked for payment in cash (and for 20€ more than we had paid online). I exlpained we had already paid online and they said that was not the case and that if I wanted to pay less than the price they were offering me then I should cancel the online  booking and pay by cash to avoid taxes. I didn't have any cash on me so they said I could pay the following day. I followed this up with the booking provider (which did not respond to my email) but I saw that there would be a cancellation fee for the full cost of the booking if I were to cancel the online booking.

When we returned back from dinner at 10pm  the staff appeared to be drunk, were not wearing masks and were playing loud music in the office opposite our room. They came into our room as we entered it, again asking for the cash from us. 

We were two women travelling alone and didn’t feel safe in our room because of the noise, seemingly drunk male staff and the demands for money - particualrly so late at night. We tried numerous times to contact booking.com for help but were ignored so we were forced to find our own alternative accommodation, leave and cross the city at night in the dark and after curfew. They refused to refund us despite our repeated emails and concerns for our safety.

A truly horrendous experience.

Awful experience

I chose this B & B because for my business travel it was the overnight spot closest to my destination. And this quality has been fundamental to me: being literally five minutes from my room to my meeting place was perfect to make my short stay in Bologna enjoyable.
The property is on the sixth floor of a large condominium: this is obviously an apartment converted into a B & B.
As other reviewers have remarked, you should know that breakfast is just a brioche and a cappuccino at the bar below.
My room was clean, efficient and well maintained, and so the two bathrooms (though a bit outdated).
I would say that shared bathrooms are the main limit of this property. This doesn't involve any major problem, because two bathrooms for only three rooms are overall enough; but whoever is sensitive to that privacy element, which is the bathroom into his own room, should keep in mind this property's feature.

Just one (but for me important) flaw: the shared bathroom

I hated my stay at galleria del Reno, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I can't image, why it scores 8 on booking.com. First of all it's hard to find, second of all the host doesn't speak or understand any English at all. He call it a bed and breakfast, but the breakfast is really just a ticket to a coffee and croissant at a bar nearby, and if you arrive on Saturday, there's no "breakfast" included on Sundays. On top of that, the host decided to move my stuff from the bathroom without even telling me, and I had to call him to find out, that he had locked it in the storage room, when he was cleaning. Also, its in a shady area, so if you travel solo, it's kinda scary to walk home at night. And btw, its says wifi is included, but the wifi doesn't work at all, I had to use data on my phone to plane my travel. That can be pretty expensive, so if you need wifi, you have another good reason not to book a bed in this bed and breakfast. Only good thing was, that the room and the bathroom was ok clean. 

Don't go there, if you travel solo

Firstly it's very difficult to find, and when I did manage to find it the b&b was unstaffed so I had to ring the number in the confirmation email. I ended up waiting 40 minutes outside for staff to arrive and let me in. The guy was very friendly but hadn't much English. I think he tried to explain that I should have let him know what time I was arriving but I wasn't aware of that. The room was fine, wifi was free although tended to cut out a bit. All in all a bit of a weird atmosphere, particularly as I was staying on my own

Strange place

I felt like I am home. Staff is polite and very friendly. Also great location, all must see sights are 10 min walk from the B&B, same as train and bus station. If J go again I already know that I will stay there.
