Bed and Breakfast Villa Viviana

We stayed at this lovely villa for 2 nights in August. It is a 10 min walk from the first anzio station (not the main anzio station in the town centre). We were greeted by Christina who owns and runs the b&b, what a lovely lady she is, very friendly and welcoming. The villa has very nice gardens and is on a quite Street. Downstairs there is a communal room with a TV, games and fridge. Our room was large with a huge terrace balcony which we had dinner and wine on both nights. The bathroom was shared across the hall but was basically like your own bathroom, very modern and clean. The room had a fan and with the doors slightly ajar was very cool. We came to anzio to get away from Rome for a few days and enjoy the beach. It's only 3.60 euros on the train from Rome and takes an hour! Ace! The B&b is a 5 min walk from the supermarket (very cheap) and several bars and pizza places. The nearest beach is a 10 min walk and has beds you can hire for 5 euros for the day. The town of anzio itself is a short 25 min walk away, we went there the second day as it was raining...there's a war museum here that's busy and a port and main square, loads of shops and restaurants also. Worth a visit! The best thing about anzio is the people, all Italian! We had a great time at villa Viviana and will definitely return, oh and the breakfast served on the terrace every day was nice also! Enjoy!
