Very comfortable accommodation with everything you need (although a welcome pack would be good if you arrive on a Wednesday when the supermarket is closed).  Rosella & Giovanni were very helpful taking us into the mountains to see the white marble being mined and to visit a wine maker and one of the "refuge's" where hikers can stop for food and rest - food and wine was very good.

Really relaxing location with good access links to explore the Cinque Terre by bus / train / boat - note; timings of buses to Bocca Di Magra are limited so you do need to plan carefully.

Bocca Di Magra itself is a very relaxed marina with some impressive boats in the harbour.

Lovely relaxing holiday

We stayed in the Aria apartment.  It is open plan and airy with lots of thoughtful touches to make it feel special.  Although it does not have a terrace, there is a dining area provided downstairs in the garden.  With the shutters flung open in the cool of the morning it makes a lovely spot for breakfast.  Rossella, our host, was friendly and able to offer some ideas about places to go and things to do, although the advice and the information in the apartment was short on practical details like parking and timings.  The village is really pretty with a marina for boat watching, several bars and cafe's that are really nice during the day and a small but pretty beach with easy swimming and a lovely view - you can pay for the hotel beach or find a spot on the nearby free beach.  There are also boat trips or a fairly adventurous walk to a beautiful nearby cove with a lovely beach.

We visited Bocca Di Miagra in August when the Italian holiday season is at it's height.  Every where was incredibly busy, to the point that it was often impossible to find a parking space and we were quite limited in what were were able to do.  Simillarly the resturants in the village were packed to capacity - most nights you needed to reserve a table to be sure of eating anywhere - and this impacted the quality of both the service and the food.  Added to all that, the village was noisy in the evenings, especially at the weekends, when there was loud music coming from bars along the river and from boats moored along the banks.  The Villa and apartments are beautiful, as is the local village, but choose your timing carefully!

A beautiful appartment with careful attention to detail.

We stayed for 5 nights in an apartment which had recently been built in the old stables. The kitchen was new and very clean and the bedroom upstairs was comfortable and had a pretty view of the river. Rossella the owner is incredibly friendly and helpful, recommending restaurants and places to visit. We visited Montagne Verde and La Burlanda and thought the food was fabulous, some of the best we had. We hired a boat which Rossella assisted with and visited Portofino and the Cinque Terre - recommend seeing these from the water. 

Charming and friendly 

As a Yorkshireman I am sometimes dubious about parting with my hard earned cash! Villa I poggioli isn't the cheapest of places...but isn't like any other place either.
A charming building, lovingly restored by the current owners to create a truly outstanding place to stay. Rosella brought us some pictures to show us what the villa was like before...much better now I assure you! The whole place really is finished to the highest specification and enables you to have a truly luxurious holiday.
We stayed in the larger apartment with the very spacious terrace, but all have outdoor space. Lovely well kept gardens and a secure place to park. 
What really makes this place special are the owners. Rosella and her husband do a tremendous job of ensuring your stay is the best it can be. This isn't customer service for the sake of it, they actually care about their home and you! Rosella has requested that we even let her know when our baby is born :)

A true hidden gem....

After touring Italy for a month & various hotels etc this was our absolute favourite place, so much so that we are hoping to take a long term let in the near future.
The whole place is absolutley immaculate & has been renovated with extreme care & with the most  elegant taste in all areas.
Rossella was the most charming lovely lady, we wee so intrigued by the whole place she gave us a tour if the other rooms & they were all outstanding.
Beautiful gardens also immaculate & facilities that really made it feel like it was your own little house.
