Stayed here during the Boyne Cup from the 21st to 23rd June 2019, large buildings with dormitory type room our room had bunk beds and the linen was excellent towels were provided.  Bathroom had toiletries provided and the shower was amazing. Staff in canteen were excellent and very friendly to everyone special mention to celine who always took time to speak to everyone and the chef as well was always accommodating and the food was top notch really amazing everyone loved it well done to all the staff would definitely stay here again top marks and the rooms were very clean.

Recently attended a 3 day, two night conference in Gormaston Park. For starters this is a working school, it's not a hostel or hotel like complex so please don't expect facilities as you'd think. For our conference and workshops we were well catered for in the various classrooms around the school.

The food was more than pleasant and went down very well on all meals and breaks. The pictures show the castle but I understand this is an off limits building so don't think you're staying there either, you stay in the dormitory within the school. 

The dorm rooms are kitted out, depending on where you stay, with a set of bunks or more than one set if you're in a larger room and come complete with an en-suite (although I understand there are cheaper non-en-suite rooms too) The bed was comfortable for a bunk and the rooms and bathroom were clean and tidy and the shower was good.

Okay for conference use

We've just returned from a 2 night stay at Gormanston Park. Our group of eleven year old rugby players and adult coaches thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were extremely well catered for by chef Eddie and his wonderful team of smiling faces. All of our requests were met, the food was of the highest quality and (and plenty of it!), and the accommodation, whilst basic, was spotlessly clean. 

There are no local facilities within walking distance, however our group were able to use the enormous on-site sports hall for entertainment so the lack of local facilities didn't impact on our stay in any way.

While the exterior of the building is perhaps unappealing, you will receive a very warm welcome, and for that reason I would have no hesitation in recommending Gormanston Park for other similar groups.

Had a wonderful stay eat great food and slept like a warm cosy baby and yes no kettle for tea/Coffey or tv but it's only and place to rest and shower while your on the move if you wanted a movie you had excellent wifi and you could use your laptop there are plenty of sockets in the room I stayed in anyway and the shower/ bathroom was very clean and supplied with plenty of towels and shower items can't wait to see you all again soon.

Amazing weekend 

I arrived at midnight to discover what can only be described as a massive industrial park/school/old building.  It was closed and I had booked a room for 65 euro earlier. Phones went unanswered and ultimately I was stranded in Meath as a result, eventually finding another actual hotel some miles away. 

On booking.com it looks like a castle hotel and because the rooms are priced at 65 euro I assumed it was. It's quite possibly in all of my years of travelling the worst experience I have had in terms of nobody being there, eerie feeling on the grounds, bats screeching etc. 

I didn't have time to research same before booking and trusted booking.coms picture and rating. I must repeat this to get my message across. THIS IS NOT A HOTEL. I have included the booking.com picture used to advertise the place. The reality is completely different although the castle like building is there on the grounds of what looks like ab industrial park/school.
