171 reviewsSean and Donal were lifesavers. We had booked a different hotel and it didn't work out for a multitude of reasons. We checked out the Abbey and it was perfect. The room was plenty spacious, nicely updated, very comfortable and clean. We had full access to the kitchen; dishes, microwave, refrigerator, etc. There is a cute dining area, and small backyard. Breakfast was excellent, just down the street. Nice variety everyday and Sean and Donal are excellent hosts. It was a home away from home. We were able to park there as we had rented a car, but we did not need to drive anywhere in Galway as the room was within walking distance to anywhere we wanted to go. There are also bike rentals right across the street and the city bus goes right by. We changed our plans and stayed another night before moving on. I would highly tecommend staying here to any of my family and friends. We hope to be able to return some day.
