Hotel got cancelled because they gave my rooms to refugees . I only found out because booking.com sent me a message a week before our stay . Couldn't contact the hotel , all my calls went straight to answer machine . I understand that the refugees needed the rooms more than me and my friends but the way it was handled was dreadful . I had to find an alternative a week before we went and had to pay inflated prices for the rooms

Room cancelled

I had heard a rumour this hotel was closing to house refugees but since I had mad a booking last year for this summer and hadn't recieved communication about this I decided to contact the hotel. I recieved an email back from them cancelling my holiday and saying they wouldn't charge me for the cancellation. I had it booked since last year so the prices at this notice leave me with no option to stay elsewhere and the lack of decency to customers is shocking. 
This hotel doesn't value its customers so spend your money in a place that does. 

Cancelled trip

An absolute terrible place to stay in with ignorant staff. I'd give this place a miss. You'd be treated better in a dog kennel. Staff can are ignorant and unpleasant. And the be aggression is rampant. Quick miss.

Terrible

The room was clean but the smell all around the hotel wasn’t pleasant. The hotel needs big refurbishment, especially the restaurant. We went for carvery food at 3:05pm and the waiter told us that closed at 3 o’clock even though in the room menu was saying 4 o’clock. Also his attitude wasn’t pleasant hence we decide to find a more friendly place to eat.

Not a great experience

78 euros for a painful room. arrivals at night and the hotel was scary. you didn't even know where the entrance was. freezing hallways like the reception. the room was freezing as bad as the radiator was working. the only good thing about this stay was breakfast. otherwise if you had the option to take another hotel you wouldn't think so.

No vayas 

Needs updating and heating. Horrid brown corridors old carpet and doors.very basic for the price of 80 euro. Cold corridors.bar meal good but noisy and not clean carpets.  Staff very friendly in the bar.
Spend your money else where.

One night

I was in for breakfast on the 21st of February and I really enjoyed it, Ann was the waitress and I have to say she made the breakfast 100 times better, the place was very busy and she was working on her own but that didn't stop her she was very chatty and made myself and my wife's breakfast very enjoyable she is a fabulous worker and is a credit to the commons, myself and my wife will 100% be back just to see ann again, Also we could not fault the food it was Very enjoyable can't wait for our next visit :)

Breakfast :)

Stayed for two nights with my partner. Location was good, walking distance to Blackpool Shopping Centre. The room was nice enough, quite clean and bright. Beds were comfy. I liked that extra towels and toilet paper were left outside rooms which requested not to be disturbed, rather than having to request these. It was a nice touch. Shower was a bit of a nightmare, nearly impossible to turn off and the shower door came off the hinges when we opened it. The toilet took about 20 minutes to refill with water, so couldn't be flushed one after the other. Lights behind the bed wouldn't work, and we couldn't turn the lamp on without the main light, so it was either stark brightness or dark all the time. There was also an alarm in the stairway which continuously beeped for the entire two days we were there. Noise from both the road and the corridor was quite loud and, at one stage, other guests let themselves into our room - which I assume was just a room number error, but should not have happened.
Overall, the hotel was average, and could do with a bit more attention to detail.

Nice, but a few issues

The hotel has the feeling of a vacant property.  The distance between the bedrooms and the restaurant accentuates this.  The breakfast was nice but a little haphazard as the buffet area was not ready at 7 am and bits and pieces were added as time went by.

The room was fine but nothing to write home about.  Everything was there and it was comfortable.  Few power outlets where needed.  UHT milk had been opened by a previous guest and had gone sour.  A sign in the bathroom says "don't drink the tap water.  Drink the bottled water provided" ...  no bottled water in room on arrival.

WiFI was horrid and slow.  Not suitable for a business guest.

The rooms were, however, well heated.

Dated hotel

Fab French toast ann is a pleasure to deal with❤ service was very efficient. Staff were very friendly. Plenty of choices. Would definitely be going back. 🥐🍾🍽🍧🍔🍟🍕🥩🍉🍏🍎🥥🍇🍊🍋🍍🍌🍓🍒🍳🥘🥪🥓
