Lovely place, clean and bright, staff very nice and welcoming. I would definitely stay again. Excellent location, within walking distance of all major attractions. Breakfast very nice ( good choice) and plenty available. Ample car parking available.

Absolutely superb people give you call in morning full breakfast, excellent cleaning and parking out front.Best hotel room in Ireland room 14 single ensuite toom beautiful heated room with roof view of  central cork city , beautiful towels and comfortable bed.

I read some poor reviews of this Guest House but I thought I'd give it a go for a night as I fancied staying somewhere central to sample the nightlife. I was made welcome by Mick and his wife and all seemed good. The upstairs room overlooking the park was spacious and clean and the bed firm and comfortable. I understand the comments that the place is a bit dated and some of the offerings like packaged soap and shower gel are a bit basic basic. However, the genuine warmth of the welcome and the location make up for any of these. The breakfast was fine too, my poached eggs were cooked perfectly. The Redclyffe is value for money unlike many overpriced places out there.

My wife the Rev Caroline Burns and myself Rev Paul Burns were booked into the Redclyffe the weekend of the Cork Marathon, as we were involved in a few Church engagements over the next 10 days.
Mick and his wife were lovely hosts alongside their two lovely children and I think the King Charles was called Alfie,  who enjoyed attention and lots of loving, which was responded to.
Travelling down we hit a few road delays and Mick was wonderful staying up to get us settled in. 
I don't know what ship ahoy is talking about alongside another commentator, a bit confused by their responses /attitudes.
The Familybwere lovely and theceggs were from.free range and lovely . I take s special.diet on account of my heart condition and Mick and his wife were very understanding and accommodating, and everyone staying at that tome thought their stay and breakfast was very filling. The accomodatio. Was located on main way in on western side to Cork with good transport links in and out of city with a good sized car park.
The rooms were very comfortable and had had WiFi access, storage and tea/coffee facilities with the rooms changed every day and a high standard of cleanliness. 
We were allocated a ground floor front room on account of my disability and needs and the room very spacious.
Over all we were staying in I believe a historical listed building and it was very quaint.
I couldn't fault this B&B in any way and as I said you couldn't meet a more welcoming and accommodating family in Mick his wife and Children.
A really home from home atmosphere and when needing to get accomodation in Cork again Mick and his family will be our first port of enquirey in Cork. We will definitely be back.

More often than not it’s the people that make your memories on trips. The owners of the Redclyffe are the warmest friendliest hosts I’ve met in a long time and definitely made my trip one to remember. Take time out from your visit and chat to those that know the city best. Appreciate and cherish those who make time for you and whose kindness and efforts make stays memorable. The laughs I had were an integral part of my trip and the warmest of Corconian hospitality created fond memories. 

I was a bit afraid to find myself in an unpleasant situation after an unwelcoming phonecall with owner (mistake on my part, but yet again: not welcoming). I was happy to have this feeling disproved: the premise is beautiful and clean, breakfast is good, and were pleasantly impressed by the professionalilty of the young staff member.

My mother stayed at the Redclyffe last week and asked me to post her review which I'm happy to do:

'Really nice hosts who put me at ease as I was on my own. It's homely and very clean. Crisp white sheets and a comfy bed were much appreciated. Good breakfast too. What more would I need for the reasonable price?! I will definitely stay here again, especially as it's so close to the hospital and Cork city'.

Checked into the Redclyffe b n b for the 3rd time    Over past few years as playing tennis locally.. House is full of old charm and very well located opposite UCC .. hosts very welcoming and always up for a chat .. accomadation clean and rooms spacious.. breakfast very good and hosts accomadated me with an early breakfast.. We stayed for 5 nights, host was very helpful and ready to suggest possible places to visit by car. Comfortable room with extra bed, great shower and good breakfast. Within walking distance to city Centre, very close to university college cork.

This was a great location, not too far from the City Centre. The owner had a sense of humor.  Breakfast had a great view. Didn't like the parking much, the only negative part of this location.  The price was appropriate eciate and I wouldn't say this place was run down as some others mentioned, this is an older structure and with that comes to character. I purposely wanted classic. Oh btw. this place had sheets! which looking back after going through so many different B&Bs throughout our road trip is awesome!
