My husband booked this B&B as part of our almost circumnavigation of Ireland.  It was not only a beautiful location but a gorgeous B&B. Lidie our hostess was both charming and fun.  The property and our ground floor room was perfect for us.  Breakfast lasted us until an early dinner - delicious.  Would highly recommend this B&B. Not surprising as it was full (5 j rooms the night we stayed. Thank you Lidie and your family

A beautiful retreat

I stayed here for two nights during my cycle tour along the wild Atlantic way. The B & B's location is set above the renowned Sky road with a splendid coastal view. So peaceful too.
My room was spacious, well equipped & extremely clean. I particularly liked the host's personal items used to decorate the room. The bathroom, though small, had everything in working order. Wifi was very good also.
I slept very well on both nights, drawing back the curtains to admire the starry skies above. The stars' clarity in the sky showing me just how remote the location is.
Breakfast on both mornings was a delight for my tastebuds. I received a cooked breakfast made to order by the host. Toast, yoghurt, fruit & numerous other items were also available to eat.
The host's frendliness & attention to detail with all things were much appreciated by me. I left here with such happy memories. I thoroughly recommend this B & B.

A true home from home experience here

Great view and very quiet. 

Wehre to begin? A not conveniant room. Small with no storing spaces. Tiny shower with very weak flow of the water and bad designed bathroom without shelves to put your stuff. The building is made of wood so when someone in the room above go to the toilet at night you hear. No wifi! When we asked, the host made some strange excuse about a technician that didnt come. No tv. The room is cold. Location: as i wrote the view is beautiful, but the location is very isolated with a very narrow and not secure road that leads to the site.   But the worst: the host is, in an understatement,  an unpleasant woman with no attitude of hospitality. We made a mistake and didnt notice the fact that you should checkin before 0630 pm! Wich is already a bad hosting. But when we were late and literally begged her to leave a key for us she sent us to look for another place to sleep and thats it!. Of course she charged us for that night. When we arrived for our "second" and last night at the b&b and asked her how can she do that to her guests she blamed us and argued and was very agrresive and not nice. Probably she will argue also with this review. I will never come back to this place and i suggest anyone who's concidering it, not to come. I also recomend everyone to read more reviews not only in booking but also on tripadvisor (i unfortunately didnt) and to see that the description i wrote is not unusual and the owner always acuses her guests. 

Dont come!

We stayed there last week, three of us on motorbikes.
I see there are a few negative reviews but We  can only speak as we find.
Welcomed by Lydie lovely French lady. Very quirky décor looks fantastic ! Great room, 
Very comfy bed. 
Stunning views from the room.
The place has had a lot of soul put into it. 
Of the 8 places we stopped this was or favourite.

My Favourite B&b .

Very rude women running the b&b, creeping outside the guest doors at night.SHAMEFUL!!!.next morning asking the guest to leave the place if they talk at night in their bedroom.humble request to stay away from this b&b

STAY AWAY!!!

The room was very comfortable with a beautiful view. It feels very secluded when there which is great for sleeping BUT it is only a 5 min drive to Clifden or 10 min to Letterfrack. 
Host was fantastic and the freshly cooked breakfast was divine, would definitely reccomend the pancakes.
We were promptly welcomed and checked-out because of the restrictions at the moment, which was a tiny bit unfortunate. It did not take away from the stay.
Very clean and Covid19 ready facility. 

Waterfront Rest  is run by owners Lydie & Pierre, a lovely French couple whose aesthetic reflects that of their French background. Our room looked across the lake, and featured a comfortable double bed, vanity table & stool, armchair, coffee/tea machine as well as extra blankets and pillows in the small wardrobe space. The bathroom had a standing shower, toilet and sink with a handful of spots to hang towels too. Though the hot water temperature and pressure was decent, the shower doors were rather narrow parting open on the corner, which I felt was slightly unnerving stepping out from.

We availed of breakfast in the morning, which is served 8.30am-9.30am. The breakfast room had well spaced tables and we nabbed one by the window. Lydie had asked us upon arrival whether we’d like the Irish Breakfast or Pancakes, and we both opted for the latter. At breakfast we were each given three mini pancakes (store-bought) cooked in butter, with maple syrup on the table. To be honest, I was expecting something more, perhaps some fresh fruit or yogurt. We were then given tea and toast with a rhubarb & aniseed compote on the side. There was also a selection of cereal and nut & seed country bread, but overall there were just too many carbs, and personally it was too heavy a breakfast for me.

We were able to check in and out very easily, and the on-site parking was very good. Our B&B was a 10-minute drive to the main centre of Clifden town. Lydie was a wonderful host and although I didn’t manage to capture sunrise due to the heavy fog, I can imagine waking up here is a spectacle.

Waterfront is in a beautiful quiet location looking over the lake but only 5 min drive to Clifden. We received a warm friendly welcome and Lydie was always hapoy to help with any questions. Home baking was very tasty.  Really clean, well maintained and rooms warm and cosy.  We will definately visit again

Home from home

I really cannot fault our stay at the Waterfront Rest. Our host Lydie could not have been nicer. The rooms are clean and comfortable with nice decor and the most stunning views of the bay. The b&b sits on the Sky Road which is a magnificent drive with some of the best views of the wild atlantic way! It is 3 minutes from N59, which gives you an easy route into nearby Clifden or elsewhere in the opposite direction. Everywhere you go in this part of Ireland gives you spectacular views! I would highly recommend the B&B.

This house is really nice. It has been decorated with love. The rooms are cozy and the beds comfortable. Every room has sea view and it is really breathtaking. You should watch the sundown or sunrise here
