Doire Liath Bed & Breakfast

This is the most wonderfully run B&B on the west coast of Ireland. Comfortable and super clean rooms; relaxing common areas; huge fresh breakfasts; strong wi-fi and off street parking.
The family who run it are welcoming; energetic; helpful and responsive. Full of local knowledge to guide your plans as well.

Sean and Therese make you feel at home the minute you step in.   The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The location is ideal both for exploring Bantry on foot or by car.  The breakfast is varied, extremely good and always served with a smile and a nice chat.  I hope we will visit again.

At both the beginning and conclusion of our Sheepshead Way hiking trip my wife and I just completed a stay at Doire Liath, for two nights.  Outstanding B&B!  Sean and Therese are wonderful hosts:  flexible, welcoming, warm.  Our room and the common areas were immaculate.  They had been apprised before our arrival of our vegan diet and could not have been more accommodating including Sean baking terrific vegan brown bread for us (!), Therese finding vegan sausage and yogurt along with non-dairy milk.  And delivered with smiles and energy and good cheer.  We could not ask for more; very special place, very special hosts.

Great bed and breakfast with clean rooms and extremely friendly service. We stayed for 4 nights and Sean and Therese made us feel like family. The food was great with a good selection of different breakfast foods in the morning. The house was very clean and quiet. It was an easy walk to town and I'm extremely out of shape. Town was cute and had a good selection of food options and cute shops. Sean and Therese were extremely knowledgeable about the area and were very helpful. There is a nice outside seating area and easy parking if you have car. This will be my go to place every time I'm in Bantry.

Stayed for 3 nights and we all loved it. Therese and Sean made our stay extremely comfortable. We loved the breakfasts and our lovely cups of tea before bedtime. The girls loved the morning visits from Alfie and Scotty the friendly dogs. Would definitely recommend this gem in Bantry.

very good accommodation, clean and comfortable room, very  friendly staff. Allow  as to stay in living  room , watch  football  at evening   time.  Breakfast very delishes and home made bread so  teasty .  Good location.  Recommended  that B&B for everyone. 

This is a well-positioned B&B which provides a warm and friendly welcome as well as great food. The breakfast room gets the best of the morning sun in which you'll enjoy Therese's great breakfasts and Sean's yummy homebaked bread. At the end of our long walk, we were lucky to get a room with a bath and Therese even provided bubble bath!!

After a car breakdown we needed a B&B to stay in so took a shot that they would have a room, we could not have had a better experience. When we arrived we were stressed and tired but that changed in minutes with a lovely cup of tea and ginger bread in the garden. Everyone was just so lovely and the room and B&B were fabulous (they even gave us a incredibly generous gift of a bottle of Prosecco to celebrate our honeymoon). I cannot recommend Doire Liath highly enough and we will definitely be back. 

We had a one night stopover in Doire Liath. We got the Warmest welcome form the host, accommodation was good and the breakfast the next morning was top class. Would definitely recommend for anyone stopping off in Bantry. 

Therese was the perfect host. She was friendly and welcoming. She was helpful with recommendations for somewhere to eat in Bantry and told us about the glorious Bantry Bay walk. The rooms were lovely and bright and airy, comfortable beds and nice ensuite with shower. We all loved our breakfast in the morning, in particular Sean's homemade bread and Therese's home grown grilled tomatoes!
I wanted peppermint tea and Therese made it from her own mint leaves in the garden - fab! Thank you both for a lovely stay.
