There is 6 room in a green garden and you are practically living with the family member in the same garden. Kadek the guy who runs the business is a very helpful, understanding and kind man along with his lovely family. Breakfast is nice. Fresh coffee and fruits available every single day. He can answer every question you will ask for Ubud and its vicinity and it will ease your life very much. Rooms are cozy and comfortable and surprisingly large than expected. Interior design is minimalist but nice. Only negative things I can say there is no hair dryer and fridge. Especially hairdryer absence is so bad for women. My wife had to go out with wet hairs when it was raining outside. If he can put hairdryers and fridge to rooms he will also see how their sells will boom. Thank you kadek

Definetly worth.

The residence is now in Kunyit Gootama20 , you get it through booking at citrus tree. Same feature but check the photos on ebooking are different, it seems trip advisor has not updated the information.
Nevertheless I warmly recommend the place, a beautiful traditional house away from the noise but still in the center of ubud. The owner is very helpful and if full, will recommend you to other homestays, so you can count on his help to ease your travel in Ubud.

Wonderful place but no more at Citrus Tree villas, now changed for Kunyit Gootama20

We booked this place to a week’s worth of work. It was perfect and quiet oasis. Kadek and his family have been lovely hosts. The breakfasts they served (many options to choose from) with fresh fruit salad every morning were beautiful. Internet was fast and reliable, hot water brilliant. Location was wonderful: close to many different restaurants, including vegetarian options. We can’t recommend them highly enough! 

Perfect! Quiet paradise in central Ubud 

Great location just off one of the main streets with the best food places and great massages! The owner took us on a day trip to see all the sights, which was amazing. Took us to a quiet waterfall rather than the touristy one! Perfect for how cheap it was and a great breakfast every morning! Great place to stay with a lovely family! 

Perfect place to explore Ubud

The most friendly staff ever! The family that runs the guest house is very helpful and lovely. Central location, walking distance to restaurants, Ubud market, stores. 

The bedrooms are renovated, clean, with hot water and AC. 
Good breakfast!

We didn't want to leave! And we did come back 2 times while in Bali.

Cozy guest house in the heart of Ubud

Staying at the Kunyit was a highlight of my trip to Bali. The rooms are beautiful and clean and a great price. But more than anything the family was amazing! They were so lovely and welcoming. They helped plan day trips for us and the father, Kadek, even took us on one himself. He showed us many things we may have not thought to go to and taught us about his religion and Bali. I had fallen very ill when I first arrived at the Kunyit and they took care of me, got me a doctor, and made sure that I was alright. I am extremely grateful for their hospitality and kindness. I would recommend this place to anyone going to Ubud and plan to go back sometime hopefully.
