Had a short stay here with my partner. The family that greated us and made us breakfast were so lovely. They played Balinese instruments for us during breakfast which was so beautiful. Rooms were very clean and shower and aircon working great. It was a little difficult to find down a tiny allyway that cars wont fit through. But therefore a guiet oasis away from the main road.

Great value, great family run oasis

I had a short pleasant stay at Buyan Homestay.
I booked through booking.com and got in touch with Wayan via whatsup (excellent English btw). She's been very helpful and answered all sort of questions.... and I had many.
She arranged airport pick up late at night (her dad does that) and I hired them again one full day to visit the water temples in east bali.
The room is very clean, with a/c, free WiFi, big bathroom with an amazing large shower with super hot water. Towels, shampoo, soap provided.
The only minus point is that there is no light switch near the bed...not that big of a deal.
There are only a few rooms in a typical balinese house. The family leaves there too, with grandpa, grandma, and their sweet dog Chica.
Breakfast is average. 
There is free water refill available.
A good reliable ATM (attached to BRI bank) is 5 minutes walk from the hotel. A few warungs and a European café are just in front of the Homestay.
The beach is 10 to 15 min walk. Just exit the hotel and walk straight, very easy.
I loved that the place is not in a touristic area, but close to the beach. I enjoyed staying with this sweet family and everything was for a very good price.
Definitely recommended.

Feels like home

Stayed here for 4nights and could've easily stayed longer! A cute cosy homestay only 1 minute walk from the main road and about 20mins easy walk to beach area, bars and good places to eat.

Positives:
Massive clean cosy bed with great pillows, an actual duvet and bedside tables.
Nice clean bathroom with good lighting and separate shower space so everything else stays dry! 
Good amount of storage in bathroom.
Lovely and plentiful breakfast (eggs, toast, jam, butter, fruit, assortment of Indonesian desserts which I really enjoyed trying).
Great, hot and plenty of tea/coffee!
Great personal patio area to sit and relax and even socialise with other guests of you want to.
Good aircon.
Safe and covered parking for motorbike to keep it dry.
Lovely family and chica the family dog!

Negatives:
No fridge in room but you can use the family's fridge if you ask.
No kettle in room but you can ask for hot water whenever you want to.
Being picky: Bedside lamps, mirror and little bit of storage would be good in the bedroom (although the wardrobe was in the bathroom).
Mosquito coils would be good to put outside the room at night (we had our own plug-in to keep the room protected).

Tip: Sanur is a much more authentic and peaceful area compared to Kuta/Legian/Seminyak for those looking to get away from the tourist dense areas and maybe explore Denpisar which is really close by. 

Buyan homestay is a little gem and I would highly recommend if you are staying in Sanur. We loved it here!


Little oasis

This homestay is super clean and comfortable. They have hot water, aircon and the room is tidy and very clean. You have a little veranda with chairs and a table. Breakfast is great, they give you toasts, egg, jam, butter, coffee/tea, fruits and sweets. We wish we had stayed more than 1 night.

Amazing - very clean and tidy

This homestay is wonderful. Myself and husband arrived late(2am) from the airport and the owner arranged a transfer and also met us on the street. The ensuite bedroom was great - clean, spacious and very comfortable. We awoke the next day to a delicious breakfast with Balinese coffee in the grounds of the homestay, which was magical. The owner and his family were really accommodating and friendly. Highly recommend Buyan.

Wonderful Homestay

Very clean, Very comfortable! Great place! I highly recommend staying here. Hosts were really helpful.

They volunteered to drive us to the port and even got us a deal on our boat tickets! 

Breakfast was delicious! I would stay here again.
