Wayan Homestay Sanur

We recently enjoyed 4 nights at Wayan Homestay and were very happy with our choice. The room, while quite old, is well maintained and very clean. It was more spacious that the photos led me to think. The bed was very comfortable with good linens. One quite small pillow was supplied, but Wayan happily proved a second for each of us on request. The wifi worked well as did the air con. There was plenty of hot water in the walk in shower, and shower towels were of a good size and quality. Lighting above the vanity was very good, great for me as I wear contact lenses that I take out at night, so that was really appreciated. The fridge was clean and worked well, and was not noisy. At night, the room was dark and very quiet. We chose to have Wayan prepare breakfast for us each day. It cost an additional 50,000 per pax, and while basic, was certainly as much as we wanted. Wayan checked with us as to what we wanted and went out of his way to provide for our preferences. My husband said his ginger tea was the best he'd ever had - and that is saying something after around 40 long trips over many years. I contacted Wayan via Whatsapp to arrange the room and paid a deposit to his bank account using a Wise card. Wayan also reconfirmed arrangements a couple of days before we were due to arrive. The only thing that we missed was a hand towel and soap in the sink to use after bathroom visits, but really, it was not a major inconvenience. We would happily recommend this small homestay for anyone wanting a budget room in a safe and quiet environment with a friendly and helpful owner.
