This small hotel is located in a very convienent spot to walk around Ooty, near the Government Gardens and schools and shopping.  I stayed here 2 nights and was impressed with the staff and the local establishments.  Almost everyone speaks enough english to get along quite well.

Convenient Clean small hotel in Ooty

Comfortable and well maintained spacious rooms, dining hall and garden. It is very close to the town (Charring Cross) and easily accessible. Adequate car parking space is available. Wonderful stay with exemplary hospitality. Recommended for couples and families.

Comfortable Stay in Ooty

It proves what it mentioned...A hone stay. Amazing food, kind hosts, chef and workers. Did not feel like leaving. Moddy's and the botanical garden being bear was an added advantage. The host helped with a sight seeing driver too

Felt like home 

Excellent property, lovely people Mr Reang was very hospitable , food was excellent like home made. City in walking distance.Travel guidance also available.Specious room .Clean toilet Real value of money.

Home feelings in Ooty

Room were good. Ample space. Care takers are bit lazy in cooking food.  I will suggest eat outside.  Do not book thorugh  make my trip, prefer direct booking  or booking.com. if you are there with family you will enjoy this place. Beautiful garden, Big room, decent breakfast ( single item only). Place is 200 mtrs from Botonical garden , 5 kms from doddabetta.

Stay at colonels  Inn.

Place was good and budget friendly. The staff and the host were very friendly. Food tasted very good our entire family enjoyed the stay and the food.Gopal was very courteous and the granny helped in keeping us comfortable. Over all the stay was good.

Value for money

Everything about this Place is Amazing, they have given all their thoughts to keep their Guest/Customers satisfied. The Place has Snooker table & well maintained. Lots of Books to read, their ornate furnishings with elaborate carving and emphasis on motifs and signature looks. The place is kept soooo Clean. They also provide Room heater when needed. My 1yr old son enjoyed playing around. I must say ( Gopal, Grandmother and all other ) staffs were so kind and the food was amazing. I would definitely recommend this place and its an must stay. The location is Center of Ooty. The Owner is an Retired Colonel, so you must know how this place would be and i don't have to say much. After a disappointment visit to Ooty since all the places were shut, We really enjoyed our stay in Colonel's Inn.

Best place to stay in Ooty

a lovely quiet place to stay, friendly staff that accommodated to our vegan diet. an easy walk into town. we enjoyed using the pool table. its cool enough here to keep your drinks on the balcony in a bucket of water. so we hd lots of cold beverages we bought from the local supermarket. this was at the top of the list of our favourite places to stay in the south

Amazing place in the center of Ooty. The botanical garden and commercial road is at walking distance.
The staff is very courteous and manages the place well. The food was great and pretty homely. Would recommend this place.
