My parents stayed at chinar vila.The property is best.It is  a house decorated by his wife manju mam situated at hills.His stay was very comfortable and they experienced homely touch.it is worth to stay here.

This place has the most awesome views ... You can see it all - the lakes, the palace, the hillocks And the city!! Even from the bedroom window!!! Sitting on the huge terrace offers a visual treat! The hosts Col n Mrs Rathore are such beautifully warm people who go out of the way to make your stay as wonderful as can be.

Most delightful and comfortable stay with the warmest hosts!!

Delightful!!  Stay in the hills overlooking the lake and enjoy the best views of Udaipur from the large deck.  This is a traditional villa with charm and all the comforts of home.  Manju and the Colonel are extremely friendly hosts and quickly became our family.  Breakfast is wonderful, healthy and homemade.  In fact, the best food we've had in Udaipur came from Manju's kitchen and garden.  We asked for dinner every night.  It's a quick walk into the center of old town, or catch a rickshaw anywhere in the city for 100 rupees.  Great yoga with Pashkar in Chadpole ( old town ) as well.  I truly hate to leave, so we've decided to return for a longer stay in the future.  I think this is the best recommendation that I can give.  Escape the big hotels and stay in the real India right here.  Bravo Chinar Villa!!  We will miss you all.

Extend your stay now, You won't want to leave!

I stayed at Chinar Villa with Ajit and Manju last fall for a month and a half and had an absolutely enchanting time there. First, the property is the best. It is a gorgeous house designed by Manju on the hill overlooking Lake Pichola and the old city of Udaipur. The location is great, because you're close to Fateh Sagar lake (very walkable) and some great restaurants and also close to the old city (less walkable but just a short cab ride). At the same time, the house is hidden away from the busy and crowded city because of this hill top. You can sit outside in the magnificent garden in peace surrounded by the smell of Jasmine or many of the other flowers without the anxiety of the city. Inside, the rooms are big and well kept and decorated. It is like your own mini palace.

Beyond that, though, your hosts are the best part of the trip. Both Ajit and Manju are incredible people and fun to be around. Some of my best memories will be sitting with them on the terrace during sunset and chatting for hours. Manju's cooking skills are unmatched - I ate some of the best food of my life there. They will take care of you so well and cater for your needs.

I am so glad I was able to have Chinar Villa be my little oasis in Udaipur for six weeks. Auntie and Uncle, I miss you both, and I will be returning soon enough! :) - John

Incredible View with even Better People

This is best rooms..I was during rains and could see clouds hovering..city palace is visible ..u can see lakes ..host family is warm and helpful.. serve good breakfast..opted for lake view rooms on day 1 and then room with kitchente on day 2. Memorable stay.

Having being my first time travelling to India and staying at a home, I was pleasantly surprised.

By far Chinar Villa has the best views and authentic home cooking.

Manju and Col Ajit were absolutely welcoming and accommodating in every aspect.

The rooms were comfortable and the service was excellent.
